Old Fashioned Ladies Skirts & Pants
Over the decades, skirts have had many silhouettes varying from wide to narrow, and back again. In the early 1800s Regency era, skirts were very slim, but widened to a full bell shape by the mid 1800s, then narrowed again by the end of the century and into the Edwardian era. As WWI ended, skirts not only narrowed but shortened as well, leading to the rise of the flapper dress in the Roaring 20s.
