Ladies Vintage Style Camisoles
During the 1870s and 1880s the chemise generally became shorter, more shaped to the figure and sleeveless. This created the silhouette of the camisole that we are more used to today. The camisole had the dual function to protect the skin from the corset, but also to protect the corset from body oils that could break down the fabric over time, while adding an extra layer of modesty.
We are proud of our ladies lingerie, which are suitable for movie and TV production, theatrical, living history and performing arts requirements, and are also perfect for vintage weddings. We hope you find what you are looking for, and please contact us if you have any questions!
