I spoke with Noel at Historical Emporium to get some advice and sizing on a few items to surprise my husband on his birthday. Noel was spot on accurate describing what size I should order. He helped me measure some of my husbands clothing that does fit him and he accurately picked out the sizes for his two shirts and the double breasted vest. Noel also suggested one of the shirts to give versatility to the outfit. We are extremely pleased. The quality is top notch on all the items, well made, and fit wonderfully. I would say the sizes are true to size now that I know what size my husband does wear.

I've been buying a lot of clothes from Historical Emporium this year, so I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for a mere 4-star Google review I gave it last summer. I had ordered a gunbelt from them that turned out to be difficult to keep buckled, and I suggested that some sort of diagram should have been included with the gunbelt to show people how to wear it. To my surprise, I heard from someone at Historical Emporium who suggested that the gunbelt might be defective, and who asked for a photo of the gunbelt. As it turned out, it was indeed defective, and was replaced at no charge. Otherwise, the clothes have been splendid, the shipping has been generally prompt, and the service has been sterling. Thank you very much.

Overall, the customer service was very good, I did request a larger size, but you guys didn't have it in stock, the salesman told me on the phone that I can try the smaller one. If it doesn't fit, I could always return it. Not knowing that it would cost me another 1295 for shipping. He should've clarified that but overall I am very satisfied.

Wonderful experience! In the winter I like to play golf in knickers to keep water from wicking up my pant legs. I usually purchase my solid color knickers from golfknickers.com, but I wanted to buy a pair of plaid knickers so I checked out Historical Emporium. I am quite impressed with the black and white plaid knickers that I purchased. I am quite impressed with both the quality and price of the ones I bought! Extremely responsive customer service, and turnaround time faster than what was listed on the site. What they make is very high quality, with good construction and materials, and very historically-accurate. It does not look "ready made" like a lot of other historical costumes I see.
