fits well (measure without a shirt, fits more to the body than modern vests), material is tough and looks great, seams are well done, and the buttons are attached very durably. went from a piece for a single event, is now for everyday wear.

I was looking for a casual vest I can wear every day, that will stand up to the rigors of being worn by a clutz like me. It still had to look sharp. I ordered this because of the notched lapel and canvas make, and could not be happier with the cut or the look of it. It will last a long time, and looks very sharp. I wear it with a lot of casual button up collared shirts in grey / neutral / white it absolutely looks the part every time. This is a great daily wearer that will last! Historical Emporium themselves offer great prices on quality US made clothes with excellent services.

This black hevyweight denim vest has great styling and is well made with in the USA with excellent quality workmanship with the exception of the button holes. The metal buttons are superb with a vintage look. If this vest fit I'd give it 5 stars; but it does not fit well. It is too small and too short. I have 5 vests from various mens speciality shops all size medium and all fit me perfectly. The medium size vest from Historical Emporium is too small; it rides up in the back so my shirt is constantly in view. It is too short by a half inch in the front as well. It is tight in the underarms however maybe the fabric would stretch out there if worn over time. There are frayed threads in the button holes. It appears the button holes were just cut out but not stitched. The type of denim used picks up lint, dust and pet hair which is annoying since I bought this fabric specifically to avoid that problem that is usually typical of wool garments. I am really sorry it didn't work out for with the sizing since the design is magnificent and it is sturdy material.

Very happy with this purchase.It's well made from heavy material and should stand up to outdoor wear well. The buttons are riveted, so are more durable than the sewn on type.It's also stylish enough to be worn anywhere you could wear jeans.The one thing extra I would like would be an inside wallet pocket because it's really an outer garment.

I own several Wahmaker products and they are the Cadillac of quality in cowboy clothing. I also like to put my money into American made products ! I bought the "Tall" XL black vest which stated it was roughly 24 inches in back but it came 25 5/8 inch in back which was too long to wear with my gunbelt. After a half dozen hot wash and dry cycles in has shrunk up to 24 1/2 inch in back. The vest has a good cut for bodybuilder shoulders without binding in the armpits and the girth fits around a "blessed" man. I am very pleased to own this quality vest...ablidged, pards.
