Not as expected
The material made for the newsboy cap had a very good feel and quality. I found it did not fit as I had hoped it would. On me, the hat was flat on my head and round as a pie, unlike what I expected from the picture.

Newsboy Cap
I love it. I wear it everyday while working. I will bring it with me to Spain where I will be from December through April. It is also very similar to the Spanish style caps of the 1930s.

Great Quality
The quality of the fabric is excellent and it doesn't seem like a novelty store item which I was afraid would happen.

Once donned...
I've received many compliments on this nice hat! I actually don't take it off as often as I should.

newsboy cap much too puffy and full in shape.
The hat is much more puffy and a large roundness to the shape, different than what the photo shows. I gave two stars because the photo does not clearly show the overall shape of the hat. I wish there would of been dimensions, then I would of known I would not like this hat, different than size dimensions, no problem with size dimensions. I know I can return though I will have over $15.00 in shipping fees with delivery to me and return to you.

love it
I took my chances finding that right of 8 panel cap...but they have a great return policy if I had any issues. But it looked real good... not too puffy, not too small... just right. love it. I'm back to the 1920's.

Classically comfortable
This is a very nicely made cap --the seams are well joined, the headband is a comfortable cotton-canvas weave with the edges triple seamed. The lining is a sturdy satin-like material that is tightly sewn and well fitted. The wool tweed material is of such a weight that is warm enough in the winter but sufficiently light weight to be comfortable in the spring and fall. For sizing, I ordered a medium: my head circumference is 22 1/2" (with my index finger inserted behind the tape) and this cape fits somewhat loosely. And, being winter, my hair is longer than usual. I picked up a pack of adhesive padding material from the craft section of my local Walmart and cut some strips to fit into the band and the fit is now more snug. I refer to this as my "Tom Joad" cap as it does settle on my head much in the manner of Henry Fonda's cap in the film version of The Grapes of Wrath. This is a keeper and makes a much better statement than the ubiquitous baseball cap.

great item
I purchased a "news boy cap" from historical emporium last year.and all I can say is I absolutely love it. Several weeks ago, my step dad noticed it and kept commenting how much he liked it. My wife and I decided to get him one for Christmas and what a great decision that was. He was thrilled. I think he wore it half the day inside the house and kept commenting on it. If he's like me, the more he wears his cap, the more he'll love it. This item was what sold me on your company and not to mention it's made in America!!!
