Alas, life is more than Steampunk conventions, so I am trying to purchase shirts that can work in real life as well as at the con. I chose the khaki Bella Blouse, which turned out to be in a thick, glossy cotton fabric. I ordered large to try to avoid the tight bust problem, but it is still tight at the bust. Aside from that, the bodice fit very well. It does a particularly nice job going over my (large) hips, even though I have a short torso. The sleeves are a bit long, but still manageable. It performed respectably in the all important laundry test - it only shrank a small bit, and it came out relatively wrinkle-free (better than some conventional shirts sold as wash and wear). Unfortunately, the slight shrinkage accentuated the tight in the bust problem. However, the cute little tabs on the collar are actually sewn in, so they came out looking great. So all in all, a very good looking shirt which can go out to dinner or off to the con in style - I gave it a 1 point deduction for the bust problem and the shrinkage.

I'm glad I ordered the larger size in this blouse as it does run small. The cuffs are VERY NARROW and if you are a girl with big or athletic forearms, the cuffs will be too tight and hinder arm movement. Luckily I sew so I was able to add an extra 3 inch placket to the cuff and move the buttons over an inch and a half to make it big enough to go around my forearms and make it possible to straighten my arm fully. The fabric is a nice brushed twill and otherwise comfortable and stylish. If not for the small sizing and the problem with the small cuffs, I would have given this product 5 stars, I knocked off a star for having to alter the garment.

I love this all cotton blouse, it fits perfect and worked quite well with my Steampunk Victorian outfits, will be buying another color soon!

Well constructed and high quality fabric. Only one complaint that it was a tiny bit snug across the bust even though I am small busted.

I purchased the Bella Blouse in khaki for my daughter's upcoming Victorian wedding. It is a beautiful blouse, fitted with seaming front and back; full blousey sleeves with fitted wrists, a double-pointed collar, and a well-finished hem to be worn untucked. I am so impressed with the quality and detailing! The service from Historical Emporium is excellent. I received my purchase very quickly, even though it was noted in the product description that an extra week was needed for delivery. Historical Emporium is a class act, all the way around.

I had seen this shirt online, so I ordered it to try it out. It fit very well, and I loved the style. Just couldn't keep it. :(
