Don't let the black and white photos fool you. Our Victorian ancestors loved color in their daily wear. The warm dark brown of this wool suit would have been a common sight on bustling city streets.
Fashioned from a soft wool fabric, this houndstooth suit features shades of brown and taupe with a burgundy accent stripes. The jacket features two buttons up the front, a notch lapel and double vented back. A left breast pocket and 2 flap pockets appoint the front while the inside has 2 pockets on left and 1 button-close pocket on right.
The fully-lined vest has a notch collar, 2 flap front pockets and adjustable back. Matching zip-front, pleated pants are also included. Two front side pockets, two button-close back pockets and belt loops add convenience to the trousers. Partially lined to the knee. Please note pants measure 6 inches smaller than chest size.
Fashioned from 100% wool with a 100% polyester lining. Imported. Dry clean only. Available in coat sizes sizes 36-52.

Coat: Coats are made with typical American sizing, meaning your chest measurement (in inches) is the size you should choose.
To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size. Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves. |
Matching vest: The set contains a matching vest, sized to fit under the coat per the chest size you choose. |
Matching pants: Pants are sized with waists 6” smaller than the coat size; for example, a 40 regular coat comes with a pair of 34 waist pants. Pants have 36" inseams and you will need to have them hemmed locally to your length. |
