I first discovered Historical Emporium a few years ago when I wanted a special look for my daughter's wedding. This latest purchase is just for an old time look with no special occasion in mind. Bought them 2" bigger than my usual size, as per suggestion, and the fit is perfect. Tailor charged $20 to hem them, so glad I got them on sale!!! Extremely comfortable, cool looking pants!! We are members of MAFCA, the Model A Ford Club of America. We drive a 1928 Roadster and like to period dress for events and occasions. These trousers, knickers, shirts etc. from Historical Emporium fit the bill. Even though they are earlier vintage, for working guys, they are still in style for the 20's, 20's and even 40's. The fit is good and the quality high. Love the stuff! We are hosting the MAFCA 2024 National Convention at Ruidoso, NM in June and are rigging up for the festivities with new duds.

We attend the Great Dickens Faire in the San Francisco Bay area every year since 2007, with the exception of, well you know, Covid. And my husband had decided that he would like a new pair of pants so he could change up his regular outfit. Coincidentally, doing some googling, we found Historical Emporium. Even more of a coincidence it was about 45 minutes from where we currently were, in the bay area. So we called to see if we could by chance get these pants by picking them up. And the answer was yes. The most amazing customer service I think we have ever had. Not only did they take the time to make sure that this was the right pair of pants. But I think they even stayed a little bit past lunch. I am very impressed by the construction of these trousers. Very well made. They are exactly what I had hoped they would be. For some reason, they were a little too large (I measured my waist carefully) but I had them altered and they fit like a glove, so comfortable I don't want to take them off.

This is the second time I have ordered the Ferndale Striped Trousers due to their great look and reliable quality. While they are true to size as described on the website, it should be noted that because they are cotton, they do stretch once worn and heated up by the body - similar to how jeans will stretch out once worn several times. These are probably the best pair of pants I've ever owned, I wore a pair for over a year or so before the constant use and abuse wore them out. I was devastated when I could no longer wear them and the Emporium didn't have my size at the time, luckily they finally came back in stock recently and I couldn't be happier! I enjoy how historical these trousers are, along with their rugged style. Putting on a union suit, these pants, suspenders, and boots make you look like you came straight from the American Frontier. The waist is high, the pants look rugged and give a unique aesthetic on the body compared to modern jeans; the length of the pants are great for putting them over boots or tucking the pants into your boots; the waist size (30 I ordered) fits me just right and I have a small waist, and plus there is an adjustable belt on the back of the pants. The suspenders I have with the slits went right through the buttons on the pants very smoothly.
These canvas pants feel very comfortable, and I noticed I don't have to constantly fix my tucked-in shirt coming out compared to wearing normal jeans with a tucked-in shirt thanks to the high waist, suspenders, and little bit of stomach room around the pants that keep the shirt where it is supposed to be when I choose to wear a long-sleeved shirt with these pants. The pants, at least mine, are not real heavy, yet they are durable. I highly recommend wearing a duster coat and tall, tucked in boots with these pants and you will look incredible.

I have nothing bad to say about these trousers, they just weren't my taste. They're just too thick and heavy for my personal taste. There is an endless number of what I describe as 'little red dots' within the herringbone pattern. You can't see them in the photo on your web site, but when I saw them I was instantly turned off by them.
I am a loyal, dedicated customer and have never before these trousers ever been disappointed, it's NOT "Historical Emporium", it's just specifically that pair of trousers, that's all, no big deal. You guys are still awesome!

sadly this was worn at my close friend's funeral. Leonard from Historical Emporium was very helpful over the phone to assist in an online order for personal pick up as I needed them in a short time before the memorial. The pants were ready for my pick up Leonard was patient and accommodating. The pants are beautifully tailored, good stitching and well made. Ive since ordered more items and will continue to purchase from them. The Hendersons will be my new go to for formal/dressier affairs. Thanks Leonard

Purchased for a Black & White Gala at the Ocean House Hotel in Watch Hill, RI. In fact just down the street from Taylor Swift's mansion. Event takes place in several weeks but I am confident the trousers will work well. Thanks

Nice trousers. Waist size is accurate. The only negative thing I have to say is that the leg length is intentionally oversized adding more needless expense and inconvenience if have them altered.
How hard/costly would it be to offer specific inseam length options like most other clothing manufacturers?

These are great quality vintage pants. I recommend getting the suspendors; it has buttons ready for vintage suspenders. Pant bottoms are unhemmed.
