I bought this for my husband for Christmas because he has been wanting a rifle case for when he rides his horse. I have not tested it on his saddle yet but the tooling and color of the case is so beautiful that I’m glad I got it even if it works for that or not. He will love it no doubt. I do think I will need to get some longer straps for it to attach but I think it will work perfect for his saddle

Strong leather makes this scabbard perfect for any use; Horse, Steel Horse, (Motorcycle) or just storage you can feel safe with your Rifle inside this Scabbard. The Soft woolen inner liner Protects your Rifle with comfort. While the outer Leather keeps it safe from most of the elements. My Rifle is a Winchester 73 , 44 magnum which fits inside the scabbard comfortably with 3 inches of the stock showing for ease of access. Thus the only reason any elements can be introduced to the weapon.

Product is awesome & high quality for the a fair price. However I personally would like to see this thinner leather strap with the buckle from this scabbard on the old west gun belts instead of the heavy leather strap with the snap on the holster. Maybe in turn what is on the holster swapped to this scabbard instead & get rid of that weak snap altogether, I had to put JB Weld on the snap just to keep it from coming undone so easily. Otherwise it's great

I ordered this scabbard based on the reviews and the photos and description.
It arrived a week late. Which I will blame on the U.S.P.S.
It is not the dark brown that I thought I was getting. The straps are very thin and of poor quality not to mention the tin buckles.

I had done a fair amount of research online for a rifle scabard and found this to be the best quality and the best price of all of them.
The interior lining is also just what I was hoping for. It is a short nap material that protects my rifle and doesn't hang up on insertion or
