I'm using this coat to concierge at my theater job. This coat is perfect for warmer weather. Sizing does run a little small, especially on top. Measurement chart is accurate but if you're on the line of sizes, I recommend ordering a size up. I did have to exchange and was pleased with the promptness of the process. Delivery was fast for both original order and exchange. Can't wait to wear it!

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect. I've never ordered a historic-looking piece of clothing before from anywhere, and I my primary concerns were: 1) that it would be too small, and 2) that it would be so cheaply made, that other folks at the event would have judgment. 🤣 However when this dress/coat came, I was so excited to open it. It looked very quality made... the color matched what the website showed, and I was thrilled. HOWEVER, there was still my other concern: would it fit? Was this something from China that had a sizing guideline where everything was super tiny? I had ordered up one size, just in case (and you might want to as well?)... knowing I could probably sew in the sides a bit if too big. However, it was perfect! I put it on and immediately felt era-appropriate! I did not wear anything under it except for a black tank top to cover cleavage, and some black tights (I already owned some semi-believable lace-up shoes)... and the way the buttons only go down about to the knees, let air come in an circulate as I walked. It was just a very comfortable dress in every regard. And at/after the event, I got so many compliments! So thanks for the terrific garment, H.E. – and I will definitely continue to be a customer!!

Disappointed with the fit. Had to return because my normal size in this coat was not able to come close to fit. Order at least two zizes up

Its a great coat, the sizing chart works so make sure to get accurate measurements. Perfect if you want to look like "A time traveler that doesn't care about blending in" or for a historical look.

I am completely in love with this coat and I can hardly wait for the weather to cooperate so I can wear it! The sizing was a little confusing, but I figured it out. (ps: if anyone needs to know, the 3X is French/Euro size 46.)

This coat is simply stunning. I ordered a size up from my usual size and it fits like a glove! It looks like it was tailored for me. I only wear coats with silky interiors and this one is perfect. The buttons are very pretty, but a little loose, so I did reinforce them, but it was no big deal as the coat is so pretty. I love the length as well as the way the bottom is made like a dress. The material is soft with stretch so that it fits comfortably as well as perfectly. Overall, this is one of the most beautiful, comfortable, and useful coats I own. I plan on wearing it as my autumn coat for everyday use. Great job Historical Emporium!

got it for my daughter as her going away coat for after her wedding, She just loves it. Nowe for a white blouse to suit the period.

This coat... is marvelous. It is very comfortable and of a high quality build, and looks /incredible/. A regular head turner! The pockets are deeper than expected (I didn't expect much), and very conveniently placed! My only gripe are that the buttons are not very well attached, so I reinforced them myself. The buttons themselves are very good, however, just weakly attached. Overall, an awesome coat that I'd happily order again!

I can’t believe how great this coat looks. My wife and I both love it. This is really a big deal for me since I was born without two important senses, fashion sense and gaydar. So something really needs to be beautiful or flamboyant for me to notice. Also thanks for the fast delivery.

This coat was really good quality and I would say it is on the slightly smaller sized of the sizing and personally I could use longer sleeves but I am very tall. Overall excellent.

I bought this coat as part of a Mary Poppins costume....sizing can be an issue with this garment...Even though I had ordered one size up/larger from the fitting chart originally....it was too snug so I returned it for another size up from the first coat. I received the replacement yesterday and it fit perfectly. With this being said, I am VERY pleased with this coat. It is well made and looks fantastic on, once you determine the correct sizing. Once I have worn it for the Mary Poppins production, I wont have any problems wearing it for day to day use. In communicating with the staff for the return I found them to be very helpful and pleasant to deal with. The only problem now, is I want it in the other color as well!

I'd been looking for a dressy coat for several years, and I love the classic, more vintage style. This caught my eye, and I ordered it as a "Christmas present" to myself. It's a good weight and feel. It fit perfectly, and the color is very rich. I'm very satisfied, and I would not hesitate to order again from this company.

This coat is a rich red wool with lining. It is form fitting and looks great.

All my other things fit great, but this coat is very small.

Exactly as described and quick delivery to add to my costume. Hangs beautifully. Not wool or anything to protect from low temps but wears beautifully. Take your measurements or size up from your regularly purchased size. I am 5ft3in and typically wear a Large and I purchased a 2X ... It's a little snug in the waist but still buttons close and a corset will be worn so that will add to the silohette.

This coat hangs so beautifully and fits so well I ordered the red one after the first wear. I am now ordering the black. I have broad shoulders so my main concern was the fit through the shoulders, that turned out to be no problem. This jacket can be worn with slacks and nice shirt for go full Victorian and wear a nice walking skirt crinoline for a lovely full effect.

This is a lovely coat and is, in fact, the second Veronica Frock Coat I own (I purchased the black version a few months ago). But I DO think you should warn your customers IN THE DESCRIPTION of the Coat that this garment runs VERY small. I originally ordered the black coat in a size two sizes larger than normal and it was still tight in the bust. Oh, it was lovely and becoming but it was definitely snug in the bust! While I'm very happy with my black Veronica coat - which I wear as a "coat dress" because it's so tightly fitted - I ended up having to exchange the gray coat for one two sizes larger. You see, I wanted to use the gray Veronica Coat as a real coat - to go over my actual clothes. But even though I ordered an even larger size this, it was still too tight in the bust to wear as a "real coat" rather than as a cute little "coat dress." By the way, have you received my RETURN package?

this coat skims the body, fitting beautifully, and it has a lovely drape to the fabric. it's easy care, as well. it has a bit of stretch to it. the sizing information seems to be spot on, as always.
