I bought this holster for my two six shooters, Ruger Vaquero Bisleys with 5.5" barrels, and I love it. They are for my first foray into cowboy shooting, and it looks and feels (and smells!) great! I had to make a change to get the right size, my waste is about 32" and the 34" belt fits well. The customer service was fantastic! Note to future buyers- the belt is not straight. If you lay it flat, it is curved, and the size is based on the distance across the top of the curve. But that curve is what lets the belt sit flat around the hips. I will be back for more authentic cowboy clothes and accessories!

I had been searching for sometime for a dual holster with appeal as well as being useful. This holster was absolutely fantastic. The tooling on it was unbelievably terrific. The delivery time for it to be sent to Australia was quicker than expected. So whether your after a dual holster or even a single holster int a tooled version then I highly recommend looking at what is available from Historical Emporium website. After returning first holster because it was too big I received second holster and the belt was too tight to go in buckle without a little forcing. Also although being 2" smaller I still had to put belt in next to last notch to keep it up. I have a 36" waist and ordered a 40" belt the second time. I believe belts should fit in center hole to look right. Otherwise it is a beautifully made and sturdy outfit.

I’ll skip the 5 star explanation; after all, one quick scan of this site and you’ll see countless 5 stars. Instead, I’ll focus on the product. I received a size 56 belt, single action army, .38/.357 caliber right hand draw holster combo in black. What can I say, I’m a large guy. I’ve own(ed) and professionally used countless holster/belts (to include wearing out a few) over 30 years. I also worked at a very large big box sporting Goods Company selling many of their rigs for every reason/season imaginable so I'll self-proclaim my expertise here. That said, before I lead with the phrase “for the price”, I need to back up and state, this holster/belt combo is by far more than what I expected. The quality is excellent, having 45 loops evenly stitched, both horizontally and vertically, while securely gripping each round was a pleasant surprise. The scalloped flower pattern is deep and tastefully done, the black dye did not bleed over any part of my clothing, the holster holds all of my SAAs (5.5 BBL) tightly once you’ve press and form the opening per instruction (if needed, this isn’t an absolute), and the fasteners, buckle and overall appearance is very good. I warn those who like to fast draw their SAA a lot, the trigger housing is completely cover (not accessible once holstered) and although the stitching contacting this point is reinforced, forcefully holstering your gun could split it over time. I was a little hesitant to spend this much money on a holster, but the moment I cradled it in my hands, admiring the workmanship, quality, heft, and beauty of the tooling, any initial reservations about the price vanished into thin air. It is extremely well made, with a clever innovation of bonding a layer of flexible steel between two very sturdy, thick pieces of leather for the holster itself. This not only increases the durability, but also allows the holster to be custom-molded to the exact contours of any of the pistol models it is designed to fit. Truly an amazing find!

this holster is 1 1/2" too short for my 8" .44 new model army. the holster is VERY loose and despite the "steel" layer inside, ostensibly used for crushing the holster flatter, it is nevertheless way too wide. looks real chineese. good costume gag but not functional.

The gun belt holster is the real deal. Not a toy. Solidly built. I will be taking this belt out hunting out in the woods and I don't expect any problems. If... I were to make one complaint, I think the manufacturer may have cut the large part of the belt behind the buckling strap a little short. Only the two inside holes for the buckling strap could be used. If I were to let it out to the third hole or farther the larger belt can't reach the loop that holds it in place behind the buckle. Luckily for me the 2nd to the tightest hole was the one that fits me. But if I ever needed to let it out any further the belt won't stay in place. Other than that... A#1 !!!

The gun belt/holster was quality construction. Other reviews mentioned the strong dye aroma. I wiped it down with a soft cotton cloth per the enclosed instructions and let it hang in the garage for a few days. Plus I coated it with some mink oil and it was fine. The cartridge loops hold the .45 Colt cartridges snugly, and my Colt SAA fits like it's been in that holster for years. A lighter color in this model would be a nice option.

The 1800's, way out west - a simpler time. The cattle graze, the crops grow, the seasons change. It's truly a simpler time still in the west in the early part of the 1800's. Yes, it is simpler in many ways, however, in the late 1840's the rapidity with which the east is growing has come to the west. Gold was found on the South Fork of the American River at Sutter's Mill in 1848. The rush west begins in earnest. Towns grow from hundreds to thousands of citizens almost overnight. In the late 1850's a second wave of citizens head west following another find, although it's not all about gold this time. The landscape has changed forever, the western states are now highly populated by those who have followed the dreams of riches or have found themselves displaced by the war of 1861-1865. I am in love with the quality of my belt and holster. It doesnt try to be too flashy and is just over all appealing on the eye, while also being sturdy and reliable. Gonna buy a Cross draw holster to go with it once I get another revolver.

In that there are no "brick and mortar" outlets in my rural area that allowed me to "touch and feel" the gun belt and holster I needed for my Ruger Vaquero 38/357 revolver (Bisley grip), I did an extensive web search. Prices varied from about $70 to over $300, but only Historic Emporium offered the variety of products and obvious commitment to the entire culture of our American Western history. Customer comments were detailed and very helpful, along with specific recommendations by Historic Emporium Customer Service. The quality of my belt and holster is superb, and size recommendation from Customer service smack on. The steel casing sandwiched between the double layer holster saddle allowed me to hand form the holster to a perfect fit for my Bisley Vaquero (5.5" barrel) in only minutes, with no water soaking needed. The ammo loops are perfectly sized, firmly gripping the 38/357 rounds. The hammer loop was a bit short for the Bisley hammer format, but easily adjustable. The stainless steel revolver with ivory grips presents a stunning and authoritative appearance in this high quality, plain black leather.

I bought this gun belt on looks alone, just to wear practicing, and was blown away at the quality and detail for the money. I was pleasantly suprised, great product. Highly recomended!

Recently moved back to New Mexico, and join a wester reenactment group in Lincoln, New Mexico. Wore your rig with my Colt 45, and everyone3 wanted to know where I got it from. Naturally I told them I got it from your company. They, I me, were inpressed by how authentic it is. Couldn't be happier.

The workmanship is very good. The one thing I feel could have been better is the holster hangs down about 2 inches more that it should be. I will have it shortened by 2 inches for a better look as well fit.

I purchased this fast draw holster for my replica .45 Old West Revolver. It is definitely "fast draw"! The pistol can be cocked and drawn from this holster with lightening speed. Cheaper holsters are not designed to allow the cylinder to rotate, when cocked, while in a holster. Love my solid make rig! It took me three times to find the right fitting holster. It was worth having to return/exchange holsters to finally get the right fit! Worth the money.

It's made very well, however it's a little small in the waist size.

This is a beautiful gunbelt. Well made, crafted and tooled. Love the leather smell, genuine leather. Be careful measuring your waist size. I'd recommend going with your pants size and adding up to 4 to that size instead of measuring. My pant's size is 38, I got a 42 it's perfect. I highly recommend this gunbelt. It is gorgeous. I will buy more items from Historical Emporium!!!

Would not buy it again. The holster I had to hand mold to my gun, does not fit your gun even after you try to mold it to it. Very disapointed . Thought I was getting fast draw quality.

This double holster is beautifully crafted out of high quality materials. A very welcome addition to my firearms closet. I'd purchase again. Customer service is also a pleasant experience. These folks care about their product and their customer satisfaction.

I loved the look of the holsters and the tooling on the leather. Belt is way too small. I ordered a size larger than my normal size and the belt is about 3 sizes too small. Luckily I was able to figure out an extension but this the cost, I expected it to fit.

Do not buy this product!

Not the best of materials, or best of craftsmanship by any means. However, those types of holsters will cost between $800, and $1200, AND have up to a 3 month delivery time, believe me I've shopped around. So for under $200 this belt and holsters now support 7 pounds of lethal steel and looks good doing it, so much so that my local gun store is using my image wearing this belt to promote "Wheel Gun Wednesdays". So with that, and fast shipping, and customer service I'll give ya'll a 5 star.

About 10 years ago i bought my first Gun belt from Historical Emporium and for a left hander finding the kind of Quality in a belt that didn't cost an arm and a leg this was the place for me The belts and holsters are thick quality leather the floral was great the dye is great everything about this belt is great so i bought another not because the other wore out but because i filled out When i ordered this one i ordered the wrong size and had to return it the customer service people were very courteous i sent it back on a Friday the next Saturday i was breaking it in . Other sites are using the advertising pictures for their products don't be fooled this is the place to be great quality at a great price.

I got this left hand draw tooled leather western styled gun belt/holster. I stuffed my smith/Wesson 44 mag Model 629-6 into it and fits like a glove. I walk around in a "open carry state" with a cannon on my hip so I mite as well look good doing it!! This is my way of saying "DONT TREAD ON ME " I have nothing bad to say about this item!! Looks and feels just like an original 19th century old west gun belt. The quality is outstanding. The hand tooling is exceptionally beautiful, and I could not be any happier with my purchase. By the way I have been looking for a gun belt for a while now, but LH rigs are not that easy to find. I am pleased that Historical Emporium has a great selection of products for both left and right handed people. I will also say that I have looked at other rigs from different sources and the products available from most did not come close to the quality of Historical Emporium's without costing 3 and 4 times the price. This Gun Belt and Holster is perfect, I have a 32" waist, and my belt size is a 36", so I ordered it in a 36" and the belt fits perfectly, and it's the Gun Belt and Holster that hangs down on my side, it's beautifully hand tooled, since the dye does come of a little bit, I took an old white sock, and wiped it down really good, and now I have no problems with the dye coming off. I love them, nothing but perfection!!!

Its excellent. Follow their fitment instructions to the letter. I have found zero issues with the rig, and it's a daily wearer here in Texas while I'm at work. Holds my 1873 45LC very nicely. This isn't made for fast draw if you're planning on that, there are many leather companies that make dedicated rigs for fast draw. It doesn't feel cheep or flimsy. Stitches are good and the brass is nice. Can't recommend enough. Todd

Beautiful holster and belt, obviously real and thick leather. Shells fit right in the loops and my Cimarron pistolero (colt peacemaker clone) was a perfect fit that Required no additional stretching or anything. My one complaint is my own fault, and that’s the sizing. I wear a 40 pant and using their measurements I should’ve gotten a 50 inch belt. Instead I got a 52 and it’s a bit too large even tightened all the way. I hate dealing with shippings and returns so I decided I’ll just have it adjusted later. Bought on a Sunday night received it a day early on that Wednesday.

This holster was the best I have found. Hand tooling was perfect not just pressed like others. Great workmanship through out. Should last years down the road.

This is a really nice tooled leather gunbelt, well made, heavy duty and quite beautiful. Smith and Wesson model 586 with 6” barrel fits nicely. I have 33” waist for pants, I ordered size 40, it’s fine but I could have gone 38”. There is a fairly good amount of adjustability with all the belt holes at the buckle so it’s fine. But my advice would be, if you are 32 or 33 waist, get size 38 and it will be right in the middle of adjustment. This is a very good product at any price, but for the low price they charge it is incredible! Leather goods made in Mexico are very traditional old west.

Love the color, rounds fit nicely, feels great, except for the holster is a bit small for the full size gun, my 22 caliber fit well but the.357 is rather snug, not easy for quick draw or holstered the gun, can this be fix?

I am sooo very proud of my new gun holster and belt!! I am a woman, living in the country, with rattle snakes, coyotes, bob cats, and even a mountain lion, for real, in our front yard. I love the outdoors, work outside and love landscaping work. Because of where we live, the wild life I have met face to face, I need a gun and holster. The holster is magnificent, fits superb at my hips, and allows me to work outside comfortably with it's comfortable fit and tie down for the leg holster, plus extra shells when I need them. Thank you for a beautiful product, very good quality, that I will wear every time I go outside, even over my old west dresses as well as work clothes. I am thrilled with my new rig!!

very nice and fit is fine. i had to change the buckle brad to a snap so i could change buckles i did expect a bit more red but some good polish will take care of that ..

What a beautiful rig. My Uberti 1873 Cattleman just slid into the holster like I had been forming it for a month. Workmanship and quality for the price is excellent. I ordered my rig on Wednesday at midday and it was at my house on Virginia Beach VA by Friday evening. My only gripe is my fault in the measuring other than that couldn't be more pleased

I bought this for my husband. He loves it!!! Real strong leather smell, I like that but his allergies wont let him be around his holster til it airs out a bit.

Got my rig and loved. Unfortunately a problem developed after minimal use rendering holster unusable. Contacted customer service and sent pictures. They replaced rig free of charge and even let me keep first one. No questions asked. New rig is just as wonderful and is, so far, problem free. Revolver even fits better in this one.

This belt is absolutely beautiful and even smells great. It is perfect for my cap and ball revolver. I only wish I had gotten a slightly bigger size.

This holster is nice. The materials and craftsmanship are better than I would expect at this price. If you are looking for a holster close to custom leather work that will fit your hard caliber revolver, I recommend this one. I've not seen better in this price range and have seen worse that cost more. I don't have hours of wear on the belt, but it appears to be built for purpose and not just some costume or show piece. Keep in mind that their measurements are tight and you will get what you order. You should do your measurements when wearing thick pants with full pockets and not in gym shorts like I did. The gun belt is a little snug worn over my jeans. I should have gone up another size but that is my fault. If anything it proves the listing is true to its word. They warn you several times in the description to be sure of your measurements and they mean it.
