The high stand collar fit my Black Godfrey Tie. It was for a installation church service. My wife is now an full-time Pastor. I wanted to wear a period style outfit, similar to Fredrick Douglas.

The occasion was for my wife Pastor's Installation service. I wanted to dress in an 1800 men's style outfit. I still need a vest. Probably a red one.

When I originally ordered it, I specified a size 42. Turns out that these run about one size too large, so I had to exchange it for a 40. No problem. Instructions were easy to follow. I repacked it with the exchange form from the website, shipped it off. Within three days, the corrected size arrived. Easy!

No special occasion, looked like a sausage. Be very careful about measurements. Pay no attention to the idealized measurement if you've got a gut. In such case measure the gut. This vendor's size chart designations such as 5X are nonsense in comparison to typical online vendors such as Wrangler and Jockey for example. A return using the same packaging and also USPS can be nearly twice the vendor shipping charge. Otherwise, would be a really nice shirt for normal wear.

I use this on an antique railroad as part of my conductor uniform. It works well for this purpose. The price is good as is the quality. Very pleased with the purchase.

I use this as a topcoat. I am a train conductor on an antique railroad. The website does say they run large. Normally wear a size 48 regular. The largest they carry is a size 46 (special order). It is way too big. like a least one size if not two. I needed it so I wore it for one trip, I can't use it. It's just too big. The quality is good but just too large. 4 stars only due to sizing.

My last two Historical Emporium vests have been Black~ well, there was a paisley one a coupla summers back... anyhow I've already gotten compliments on this one. Looks kool over a Hawaiian shirt or with khaki and earthtone garments for everyday wear. Lots of pockets for businesscards, pocketwatch, punk/metal earplugs, collapsible sewing-scissors and short Sharpies... I've been ordering vests from HE for 15yrs at least and the design-quality and variety rules!
