Miss Lottie Caltrope, Soiled Dove

Understanding Lottie Caltrope is a bit like appreciating the resilient desert flower, striving to bloom magnificently despite the harsh conditions. During a still-talked about shootout in the canyons north of Central City, her daddy took a fatal shot to the ticker. Not long after, her mama fell ill and quickly died of the proverbial broken heart.

With hopes of a virtuous upbringing dashed, Lottie put her talents to work through the saloons along the riverfront before ending up in the velvet draped parlor of a shady boarding house proprietress in Leadville. Here she gained her independent spirit and aptitude for survival as well as a cult-like following among the local cow pokes.

Fellows from two counties over will line up to share a drink and a laugh in the company of this fallen woman. And while she is available for the taking, Lottie knows she will be doing some taking of her own, and the cow-boys know they'll leave with empty pockets and a smile on their faces.
