I got this for my trip to Kauai. My boater hat should complete the look!

I love it, except there is no difference between the navy blue and the black. Now I wish I chose the red.

We used this for a production of "The Addams Family," for Fester to wear while wooing the Moon. I dyed the white stripes light blue, to excellent effect.

Product looks exactly like we thought it would; however, I was expecting it to be cotton and not polyester. I assumed the male costume would be cotton considering the female costume was made of cotton.

I was somewhat cautious when buying this product as there appeared to be some critical feedback in earlier reviews, suggesting poor quality, "costume" clothing, no elastic tie to pants, etc.. The item I received was none of these! The quality is great, the navy / white colour is fine (my colleagues have the other colours for an upcoming event), there is an elastic tie in the pants. I did order a size up as I wanted a relaxed fit to suit the style of the period (and my shape!). It is an excellent outcome for myself.

overall, this garment is OK for the price. however, when I was taking it off after putting it on for the first time, the stitching around the neck pulled out. so either I needed to get once size larger (evern though the size I purchased fit fine), there is not much stretch or "give" so it almost ripped taking it off.

I'm a pastor and the First Sunday in May following Easter we celebrate "Holy Humor Sunday." For several years I have dressed up as Freddie The Freeloader or Clem Kadiddlehopper who are two of my most favorite Red Skelton characters. This year the title of my sermon was "Have You Taken The Plunge" and the idea came to me to dress up as a 1890's gentleman swimmer. I couldn't go the one piece tog but the one I ordered from you was perfect

Blue is a very deep navy blue that is almost black. Suit looks more like a prison costume.

I have a great deal of fun in this suit, makes me feel rather silly. Only negative is chafing when using it alot, so if you chaf be prepared for that. Otherwise, I love it!

We were in Mexico and I didn't want a typical swim shirt. Why not make a statement. This was spot on and held up in the pool and the sun. The only issue was the younger crowd thought I was Waldo! I should've gotten the blue one also. Would've rocked it.

This outfit is for our production of the Addams Family musical. This was the only place that I found this outfit for Uncle Fester .It is very good quality and arrived neatly packaged. I will definitely check this site again for items I need for future shows.

As a washed up 90's celebrity, it's important to stay relevant with the young kids these days. I'm thankful Historical Emporium provides such sick poolwear for me to subtly say "Look at me! I'm an attention whore!" Pro tip: buy the red AND the blue so you can mix and match! My only regret is shaving my handlebar mustache before summer. I'm a professional Santa and I bought this for a beach vacation this year. Overall I like the product. It fits true to size, looks great, and my XXL was roomy enough for my ample Santa stomach. The fabric is a bit sheer, so I also bought (elsewhere) red underpants and undershirt. The only criticism I have is that the pants have a very low-rise waist, so it rides like old hip-hugger jeans. However, the top comes down to mid-thigh so the waist is well covered... it just feels a bit uncomfortably low. But I'm old, so what I find uncomfortable you may not. Overall very glad I found this.

I have a need for this suit for a Christmas in July event in Florida. It will be at a splash pad and with the temperatures here I’m going to enjoy just sitting in the water but all hopes are it will be a big hit. I washed it per directions let it hang up to dry and it is colorfast.

Added a straw hat, striped sox's, and tongs. Maybe beach ball too. It makes some people laugh. Which is what I wanted. It is comfortable. Would like see price come down. But probably say that about most things. You can really swim in it.

My jaunty swimming outfit was a hit at our scout summer camp. I took third place in the scoutmaster belly flop contest.

This is sold as a package, and the top piece doesn’t match the trunks- it appears to be several sizes too large. They don’t match up. I am a normal sized person and the trunks fit me. Also, the trunks are not bathing trunks, just shorts. There is no support. I would have gladly exchanged the top for one that fits, but they won’t separate the package. Even more importantly, they don’t cover the return shipping. Be wary of this business. It doesn’t sound like they are standing behind their product as they claim.

I love my classic bathing suit, throwback to the early 20th century. All things come back in style. I usually wear an XL however your sizing chart was right on the money and the L is prefect.

I wanted a swim suit that I could play on the beach in the sand without feeling exposed. This was perfect. I swam in the pool today and it works great in the water too.

It could work as a Japanese school girl cosplay for an Anime Convention or even Wednesday Addams for Halloween. We decided to finally try going out to the beach and my boyfriend is not a confident type or person so he would rather have the cover of a shirt but never liked the newer fashions. So when he saw Sweeney Todd's bathing suit we had to find one and this was exactly what he wanted! Fits him amazing and he wears it even out and about now.

My wife ordered a larger size than what she would usually wear and it still was too small. This product runs way too small.

Well made and authentic-looking (as far as I know). The top runs very small so if you're busty, like I am, it'll be tight.

We are celebrating the 100th Anniversary of our island association. I wore the bathing suit in the antique boat parade and later in an antique cedar canoe for the regatta. Everyone wanted their picture taken with me. So many people asked where I'd found such a wonderful costume. I was happy to tell them that the Historical Emporium had quality items at great prices with outstanding service.

I was very satisfied with the product and with the delivery time. Paypal wouldn't work so I used the old telephone and the customer service representative made ordering very painless and quick. My mailman left the package where is got soaked by rain and I really appreciated the suit being properly wrapped in plastic inside the box.

This is really cute! It looks even better than depicted. Fits well. Due to it's color, would recomment wearing another layer underneath id you plan to get it wet or you'll show more than you want. ;)

Purchased this set to go to a water side event and my wife and I wanted to be different. So we thought 1920's style. I ordered the 2XL. It fits my chest real well but its rather loose and baggy around the mid section. There's no taper to it shirt. Shorts fit well and the draw string easily pulls to tighten up the shorts but enough room in the thighs and long enough to not be "hanging out" at the waters edge.

It looks the part from a distance, but the material is quite light and stretchy which feels inauthentic. I wish it were more like a heavier natural fiber.

I wore my suit all weekend at the Ritz Carlton resort. The fit and comfort were both incredible in and out of the water.

Based off reviews I originally bought a large to be safe, and it was very loose fitting. I then ordered a medium and it fit so much better! I normally wear a medium in most clothing. It was a little tight going over the chest and on the arms, but once I had it on it fit good. The only issue is due to the arm tightness I can’t fully raise my arms but I only plan to wear it for one day so I can work with that.

We raise our family of 7 kiddos to be modestly-attired and they enjoy doing so. This has made swimming a bit strange since they've previously had to wear shorts and a shirt, but with the Ladies 1900 Bathing Suit from Historical Emporium, they can be properly modest in what is technically a genuine bathing suit. The culture has gone so far downhill that, ironically, this bathing suit could almost be worn to church and still be more modest than the things some people wear. That said, it's crazy to think that the 99% naked people at the local pool or at the beach would point at the "weirdos" wearing this fantastic Historical Emporium bathing suit. Although we normally use a private family pool, we would gladly take this on a trip and use it at the seashore. We would stand out no matter what, so we're happy to do it boldly with the outfits H.E. has to offer!!!

This garment will work for the costume I had been looking for. However, the pantaloons (as shown in the pictures) do not come with it. Another $50 and my one-day costume could be complete. In my opinion, had I known this, I would have looked elsewhere.

I ordered a large & the fit is snug. The materials are beautiful; the workmanship is high quality; the colors & style are perfect! But, after worn & washed, I worry that the cotton fabric will shrink.

I am going on a cruise with "sunworshippers" and this bathing suit will protect me. It will also be a comic release.

Thick cotton material. Look is genuine and makes me feel like the 1900s. I bought matching bloomers. I am 5"7', athletic, 149 lbs. I usually wear between a size 6-8. The dress in a large fits comfortably. Biceps are snug. My waist is 28 and there is plenty of room. Not skin tight. I bought the bloomers in a size small and those fit prefect.

I purchased three of these for an event that will take place next February, and I'm eagerly awaiting the opportunity to wear mine. I may use it at Halloween so I won't have to wait several months to enjoy it. I'm greatly impressed with the quality of the bathing suit. The fabric is of a nice quality, and the construction is of good quality. I'm most impressed. I feel the suits were a "bargain" at the price we paid for them. We are constructing our own mob caps as we want a patterned fabric rather than plain white, but most likely the quality of the mob cap would follow suit. Now that I've seen the quality of product, I know I will be buying other items from your site. Love it!
