Decided to snag it as a good hat for slightly colder weather, not only is comfortable and simple but was able to add a nice band to the crown myself with minimal effort.

Nice looking western hat. Bought big size and adjust it down with the internal adjustment. Big size allows scarves and hoods in winter. Bought for naturalist role at Colorado State Park, but like the hat so much will probably use it as my main hiking hat.

Used for hunting to keep the sun out my eyes very nicely made.

The Hat looks great, feels great, very authentic looking. The only problem I have is with sizing. My head measures 22 in. According to the sizing, medium is 22 and 1/4 inches. So I got the medium. It was too small. So I paid for shipping to have it shipped back, and ordered a large. Also paid the shipping for the large to be shipped to me. The Hat ended up costing me a lot more than I expected it to.

This hat is historically correct and of vary high quality. I ordered it a bit smaller then normal and the fit is perfect. General Lee himself couldn't of got any better.

The slouch hat is very good in all respects. The only thing I would caution other buyers about is be careful on sizing. I have other felt hats all of which are size large and fit perfectly, this one however the size large is a very lose fit almost to the point of sliding over my ears. Just be careful when measuring for the perfect fit. Everything else about the hat is perfect, please do not confuse my size issue with a lack of quality, it is a great hat!

I love this hat!!!! I was worried about buying a hat online, but it arrived very safely packed in a box of sufficient size so it was in perfect condition. I didn't even have to so much as fold, bend, or shape it anywhere. Hat perfection right out of the box. My head is 22' around and I bought the medium Perfect size for me and very comfortable. It comes with a feather in the band that can be removed or swapped out if desired. I just want the plain black hat so I removed mine, but saved if for later just in case. The hat is made very well and looks great on. Even though I ordered other items at the same time, they shipped the hat in its own box which I appreciate because I have ordered items from other websites before and they have thrown everything in together and something inevitably gets ruined. I have had hats before but this one my wife is very pleased with which is a plus. It is what the website shows. I have a 23 1/4 size head which is for almost all hats between large and extra large. I bought extra large and added a short sizer to each side and it's perfect. I agree with my wife - best hat so far.

The hat was exactly as described and pictured. Sizing was spot on with the help of the sizing chart. I bought a care kit and a leather hat band to spruce it up a little bit and it's perfect. Now I wear it every day, especially when I head out to the barn.

I've never really been a big "hat person." In the deep South, mostly that means shruggin on a ballcap to keep the sun off. Nice hats are for pretentious people with more money than sense. WELP...guess I've lost my damn mind! It's a nice hat, really damn nice - almost too nice to wear to keep the sun outta my eyes when I'm gardening! This Slouch Hat is very well made. I ordered an extra large and had to had a little extra band to the inside for a good fit. I really like this hat, especially the wide brim.

This has to be the most comfortable hat I've ever had! Light wool felt that seems to breath a bit better than others I've had. Not too tight or loose or any feeling of heaviness or other. It looks good with my face shape and all too. Really seems to suite me well for the price. Workmanship is good too. I changed the band to one of western diamondback rattler like JB Books and it looks even better yet! I'll be back...

Best fitting cowboy hat I've ever had. It is soft and fits my head well (not like those starched cowboy hats that feel like bricks on your head). I'm hoping you get a white or tan one some day.

Purchased it for my husband who had one years ago. He likes it but was hoping it had a wider brim.

First, a note of caution on sizing: I wear a size 7 3/8, and the large was too big. But the medium fits perfectly. Customer service promptly sent me a replacement size. The hat is stylish, certainly for casual wear, but can also accessorize a nice top coat or jacket. The wide brim, not only serves to protect against the sun, but keeps the rain off, lessening the need for an umbrella. This will be especially useful for hiking. I haven't tried to fold it for packing, but that would really make it versatile.
