This is a great looking shirt. The fabric is sturdy and feels nice to the touch. The color is vibrant. My husband is generally an XL in t-shirts, but we got him the 2XL based on the size chart. It fits him perfect.

I bought this for my son in laws Christmas gift. I was very pleased with the quality of the shirt, it was excellent and I am sure he will love it!

As a bigger person I am always worried about the fit on a mail order garment. This fit just fine and sleeve length was like it was tailor-made. (I generally have to have sleeve length altered / shortened in almost all "dress" type things I buy, especially any coats.) If you have extremely long arms it might not work. The material is good, thick all-cotton. This is not a costume-weight garment. This is a real shirt. Glad I bought it.

I bought this shirt twice to have a spare. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the seams and buttons. I know it sounds funny but that's the first thing I look at. It's well made and will last. The material is heavy and will do well on cool days. It's is definitely not a summer shirt, but I knew that before buying it. I'll be looking for something a little more light weight for southern AZ, but it's perfect for the "winter". It was shipped quickly and arrived in 3 days. I've very happy with the service and quality of the shirt and will be acquiring more items from them going forward.

The material takes to the iron well, easy to iron. The sizes run a little big. I am a 16 1/2 - 32/33. I picked the 16 - 16 1/2. If I loose some weight, I will have to have them taken in on the sides. Sleeves a little long too. But, they are great looking. My wife complimented me when I tried one of the two on. Great quality. I will be taking them to my vacation on a horse ranch soon. Will inform after I come back. My reason for giving it a 4 stars rather than 5 is because the colors are a bit darker than in the pictures. The navy blue looks almost black, even under the sun. The burgundy one is darker than what you see here. But that is no reason not to buy them. Really looking forward to wearing them soon.

i’ve bought these shirts in every color! they’re fantastic! occasionally, i’ve received a shirt with buttons that are loose & these have to be re-sewn before wearing; otherwise, you’ll be trying to replace an irreplaceable button; thick cloth! great items!

The shirt seems authentic in all ways- very heavy fabric with excellent stitching detail. I was surprised at how large it is. I know the info stated it was cut full like the originals but I am an XL and have trouble getting XLs with adequate arm length. I ordered a 2XL just be be sure. It is big but better that than sleeves to my elbow. I think I would rather do a little tailoring than have it to small. The length is great also. All in all "excellent" but it was a bit pricey. I plan to wear it at the range when I shoot my Kentucky long rifle. Cheers REX

The denim Longview Bib-Shirt was my 6th shirt of that style... each one a different color. ( I have one of every color available in the Longview Bid style) For me, the style is kind of my > 'signature'. When wearing one, I get a lot of positive-comments when I take my wife dancing (Texas-two-step dancing). The style certainly fits the Western-Dance persona. The quality of the shirt was great. The sizing is wrong compared to what I normally wear. I order a different shirt two sizes smaller. Refund for the price of the shirt was quick.

The material and stitching is A+. The buttons surprised me a bit. They are lighter weight then I expected. They do give you an extra button just in case for any reason you loose a button in the future. The item itself was (other then the buttons) exactly what I was looking for. I do wish shipping did not have to be paid by the customer when I needed to exchange for a smaller size. I needed to exchange one item again but the shipping would be 10 dollars again. Not wanting to pay the return shipping twice just to get the right size. The customer service and personal attention was great.

The quality is wonderful, the only complaint is that it is pretty long, makes it very had to tuck in, but doesnt look right out because it is so long. I bought the blue bib which is exactly the same, that one fits perfect. We are still very pleased though!

It fits like it's supposed to. It is well made out of quality goods. I feared it would be a cheap costume piece, but it's not. It's a quality garment, sturdy in construction and I expect it will last for years.

Great quality cotton shirt pullover with buttons half way down chest and gathered back. Putting it on transforms you into an old time shopkeeper or gambler. The XL was very roomy. I usually wear a 34 sleeve and 17 neck. Neck was comfortable but I probably could have gone with a large. Was long too so plenty to tuck in. Well worth the cost for its authentic build. With the unique collar, a regular dress shirt cannot compare.

Very nice looking and comfortable shirt that is well made in a good quality cotton. Size is a bit bigger than expected, but after a cold wash and a tumble dry it shrunk to a perfect fit.

I am into Steampunk, and this is the conclusion of attire I needed in its creation. I had several other shirts that just couldn't fit the bill for various different reasons. When I put the shirt on with my other clothes and then finally the face mask I created, the shirt gave an added debonair look that made me say only one thing. "EXCELSIOR!!"

This shirt fits true to the sizing guide and is extremely comfortable.

I needed a shirt like this with a nice crisp high collar to cement my outfit for a Victorian era party. Its a pullover, with a quarter button up. Don't worry about fumbling around with the button holes because they are perfect. Throw a cravat around you're neck and you'll look like you stepped straight out of the late 1800's. The cuffs are also pretty rigid. The sleeves run a little long but you can throw some sleeve garters on to really take things up a notch.

Love the shirt, the fit is great and the look is exactly what I wanted. I found out at the cleaners that it needs to be dry cleaned because it does not open up in front and can't fit on the ironing device they use. So it costs a little more to get cleaned. No biggie but something to consider I suppose.

I like Frontier Classics shirts except that the sleeves are usually too short for me. I’m over 6’ 2” with longer than average arms and legs. The fact that Historical Emporium stocks extra long, or ‘Tall’, versions of the shirts is perfect. I haven’t found them anywhere else (which is why I bought the shirt from them rather than from a supplier in the UK). I wish the long versions of Frontier Classics shirts were more widely available because this one I’ve bought is very good.

I do period recreations and Steampunk cosplay. I needed a shirt for a new cosplay not to dissimilar to the office outfits worn on The Gilded Age on HBO Max. This shirt is very close to what I was looking for and the price was not bad. It matched the frock and waist coat I got for the cosplay very well. Understand in period, many white shirts were off white and not stark white. I love the texture and color difference. If you are looking for a more casual Late Victorian/Edwardian shirt, this will do the trick.

One of my favorite shirts. Fits perfectly, and looks great. Good quality, and great for those who want that true western 1800's look. It also looks great with my antique 1879 A.W. Co. Waltham with key pocket watch. Would recommend!

Online comments said the shirt fits on the large size so I went with the fit chart and bought a medium instead of the usual large and it fits perfect. Plenty of shoulder room and arm length is exact. Beautifully made. Shipping was really fast to Canada.

Very good quality, nice and breezy and handy for summer. And the collar style makes it versatile, so you're paying for two different shirts in one. It's quite baggy around the stomach but a waistcoat takes care of that. I ordered 2XL and it fits me perfectly, which is pretty good for something I bought online. With the collars starched up, I think it probably looks best with a deluxe western-style bowtie or a cravat.

For a 2xl I found the neck to be quite small, but still satisfactory.

This shirt fit well, was a basic style that covers many eras, the cost was right, the sleeves and cuffs were decent. I may get another as a spare. If you are tall, as I am, make sure you note that somewhere on the form. I did, and was rewarded with the longer fit at the waist...

This shirt has a small round collar, a pleated bib front and is made with some room in the shoulders, arms and back. It is beautiful, appropriate for formal and informal occasions and is very comfortable to wear. It is 100% cotton and is machine washable! No dry cleaning necessary! The shirt is good quality fits well. I wish it was a made with heavier or thicker or a higher thread count material not that is is bad ,I like shirts that you can't see through you can see the tee shirt lines on arms and chest. But overall it is fine

Perfect for formal wear and using it for a cemetery tour I was involved with. Just don’t do like I did measure you neck size and go with it. I ordered my usual dress shirt size and it was way too big.

Although I have not worn it yet, I did try it on. It fits well, the sizing guide was correct. The only disappointment was the buttons. I had to change them out to white bone buttons, which I will again change out to white glass buttons when I have more time. When trying to recreate a period look, clear plastic buttons is not the way to go. Otherwise no complaints. It shipped faster than I thought it wood and seemed to have it overnight.

Good quality shirt and ample arm length for the taller man

Wish the sleeves were 1-2 inches shorter. Will use garters or rubber bands to address issue. Sleeves to long for size based on neck fit.

This is a quality product! When the product arrives, the material feels thin; but after one run through the laundry the material fills out and you can appreciate the quality of the cotton and the stitching. MAKE SURE that you measure yourself using the instructions provided at Historical Emporium's web site for best fit. If you find yourself at the larger end of the sizing, go a size up as a loose fit will look more authentic and will be more comfortable. You will have to iron this shirt, it is 100% cotton. I have found it best to tumble dry for a few minutes to remove excess water, then hang dry for best wear. Hope this helps.

We ordered per the size chart and the size L was actually larger than the chart says (in the neck measurement). So, we had to send it back and order a medium. Medium fits perfectly. Looks great with his Victorian tux and tails costume for historical dancing. Thank you!

I love wing collars and the addition of the cuff-link and stud option to a 100% cotton Victorian dress shirt was a very welcome and wise change to this product. I am delighted with my purchase and wear it often. In fact, I am wearing it (with the Guilford waistcoat) as I write this review. I will almost certainly pick up a second at some point.
