i’ve bought these shirts in every color! they’re fantastic! occasionally, i’ve received a shirt with buttons that are loose & these have to be re-sewn before wearing; otherwise, you’ll be trying to replace an irreplaceable button; thick cloth! great items!

Nice shirt, a little pricey, but very cool

The shirt seems authentic in all ways- very heavy fabric with excellent stitching detail. I was surprised at how large it is. I know the info stated it was cut full like the originals but I am an XL and have trouble getting XLs with adequate arm length. I ordered a 2XL just be be sure. It is big but better that than sleeves to my elbow. I think I would rather do a little tailoring than have it to small. The length is great also. All in all "excellent" but it was a bit pricey. I plan to wear it at the range when I shoot my Kentucky long rifle. Cheers REX

The denim Longview Bib-Shirt was my 6th shirt of that style... each one a different color. ( I have one of every color available in the Longview Bid style) For me, the style is kind of my > 'signature'. When wearing one, I get a lot of positive-comments when I take my wife dancing (Texas-two-step dancing). The style certainly fits the Western-Dance persona. Presently, I am waiting for a 'heads-up' from Historical Emporium, as to they're re-stocking of my size in, 'Brushed Twill Longhorn Shirt'_ colors Green and Gray... When I am alerted that the shirts are BACK in stock, I intend to place an order for them. Folks_You can't go wrong , if you chose to invest in anything from Historical Emporium. My brother and I wore shirts like this in the 1970s. I then saw it in a music video with Charley Crockett "The Valley" and we wanted this shirt too. It fits perfectly and is very good quality and not from China. Unfortunately we have to pay a lot of money for customs, freight and taxes. Nevertheless, we will order something again

Just what my son was looking for. Loves authentic Western wear. Good quality. Will have to see if the buttons will be a problem like some comments were made but overall he loves it.

The quality of the shirt was great. The sizing is wrong compared to what I normally wear. I order a different shirt two sizes smaller. Refund for the price of the shirt was quick.

The material and stitching is A+. The buttons surprised me a bit. They are lighter weight then I expected. They do give you an extra button just in case for any reason you loose a button in the future. The item itself was (other then the buttons) exactly what I was looking for. I do wish shipping did not have to be paid by the customer when I needed to exchange for a smaller size. I needed to exchange one item again but the shipping would be 10 dollars again. Not wanting to pay the return shipping twice just to get the right size. The customer service and personal attention was great.

The quality is wonderful, the only complaint is that it is pretty long, makes it very had to tuck in, but doesnt look right out because it is so long. I bought the blue bib which is exactly the same, that one fits perfect. We are still very pleased though!

It fits like it's supposed to. It is well made out of quality goods. I feared it would be a cheap costume piece, but it's not. It's a quality garment, sturdy in construction and I expect it will last for years.

I like them so much that I've bought two (one brown, one red). They fit great and are made to last. As for Historical Emporium's service. I received my orders quickly. Well made, love design and the button up front actually being functional

This is really a great shirt. I tried it on and everything fit great but the neck, it was a little tight (Hope it doesn't shrink after washed). I chose a medium and the sleeve length was just right. The color is bright and the buttons seem to be just great.

I purchased this for myself, though I am a woman. It is beautifully made, and the fabric is magnificent. I love the collar, it is just what I had hope for. I can't recommend this item more highly.

I give mixed reviews on the Viceroy shirt. I paid $94 to have it delivered. It is a comfortable cotton shirt but that's where the complements end. The sleeves were 38" long - I needed 32". You would think for that price they would have better options for an XL shirt.

This shirt works perfectly with my Victorian costume for Community Theatre.

The size of historically cut shirts can be tricky, as the HE site does say, but it means that I have to get the sleeves shortened to fit me before I wear this. The cloth is lovely quality, and it looks great with the black stock.

I love the material and style of the shirt. Packaging was great and felt adequate (perhaps better) to protect the item from anything that fate would throw at it. I especially love the fluted chest fabric, as it looks very dashing.

I ordered this for my son who was in a school play that required Edwardian costuming. The shirt was very authentic and looked fantastic with the rest of the outfit that was also ordered from Historical Emporium.

This isn’t a costume shirt, it’s a dress shirt designed to the style of a former era, so I expected a lot and it is nearly perfect. Purchased for a Regency/Bridgerton costume to wear with vest and stock. My husband has sensory issues (autism, ADHD) so nothing but a cotton or linen shirt works. This was the only 100% cotton one I found. Seams and buttonholes are dress shirt quality, as expected. No loose threads. Collar has a loop on the back to secure a tie. Collar is double thickness and opaque, stands up on its own but will need ironing and starching. Body of the shirt is slightly translucent - without a vest, an undershirt will be necessary, but it will be cool in summer. Cut is era-appropriately boxy to loose. Lots of ease across the back with pleating. My husband is a chest size 44, but shoulders are 46 so we ordered XL. Turns out he could have sized down to L, as the shoulders are 1/2” past his natural shoulder, but as Regent shoulders were drop shoulders anyway, we’re keeping it. My husband is 6’, but with a 31” inseam so his torso fits like a 6’2” person. The length is perfect, and even at 6’4” you likely could get away with it, though it may be a little harder to keep tucked in is you’re doing more than walking and sitting. We’re very pleased with the shirt and I suspect he’ll look for other occasions and ways to wear it, because it’s so comfy. Photos are hung up wet to drip dry. Relatively wrinkle free, but needs ironing and collar...

Our grand daughter has chosen the theme of late Victorian for her wedding. Her colors are red and Gold. The first coat, shirt and pants that I ordered were too big and I needed to return them for the next smaller size. The exchange was accomplished within 5 days. A company rep. was very helpful when I called about the problem. The replacement garments are a good fit although I will need a small alteration to the vest because my middle is larger than my chest. Quality & workmanship of clothing is excellent and I expect that they will last for many years.... and Never go out of style. Thank you! I plan to order additional items in future.

I interpret as an undertaker in Ohio in 1898. We provide a variety of events including working/living in a 19th century village. I fully recommend this shirt as it looks very good/authentic and it's comfortable.

Definitely get the shirt heavily starched or make your own from rice flour. The collar should always be very stiff.

My husband is a tall thin guy and the small was a perfect fit for him. It looks great and the buttons and stitching is very high quality. Would definitely buy again from these guys.

Great shirt

Very nice looking and comfortable shirt that is well made in a good quality cotton. Size is a bit bigger than expected, but after a cold wash and a tumble dry it shrunk to a perfect fit.

I am into Steampunk, and this is the conclusion of attire I needed in its creation. I had several other shirts that just couldn't fit the bill for various different reasons. When I put the shirt on with my other clothes and then finally the face mask I created, the shirt gave an added debonair look that made me say only one thing. "EXCELSIOR!!"

I wear weird old fashioned clothing like this on a daily basis. It's just who I am, so I was very excited to finally be able to add this shirt to my collection. But anyway, this shirt is wonderfully made. It very lightweight and breathable and feels nice on the skin. I have no complaints.

This shirt fits true to the sizing guide and is extremely comfortable.

I needed a shirt like this with a nice crisp high collar to cement my outfit for a Victorian era party. Its a pullover, with a quarter button up. Don't worry about fumbling around with the button holes because they are perfect. Throw a cravat around you're neck and you'll look like you stepped straight out of the late 1800's. The cuffs are also pretty rigid. The sleeves run a little long but you can throw some sleeve garters on to really take things up a notch.

I just returned from Tombstones "Helldorado Days" where I wanted to get my photo taken with the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday. I had wonderful black Frontier Classics trousers, red apache scarf, grey tweed vest and white banded collar shirt. I ended up hating the shirt. It made me feel like I was choking. I bought the Sinclair Edwardian shirts in all the colors available and LOVE them. With the proper ties I can leave the collar unbuttoned, breathe and still look good.
