I'm acting, singing and dancing in Fiddler on the Roof and these boots work well for the part.

The boots fit. The zipper is on the inside of the calf hiding it for pictures and can easily be covered if needed. Sturdy enough for cosplay outings. Just a great jack boot replica for half the cost you would fine elsewhere. Very happy with purchase.

The calf of the boots were extremely too small. Especially for a size 14 boot. It cost $ 21.00 to return the boot. Not happy!

Though the right boot did fit my foot, the left one was damaged. The zipper was broken. Very disappointed with it to be honest

These boots worked better than I thought. Made my Han Solo costume that much better They are very well made. And very warm and toasty. These boots are going to last a long time.

Nice pair of boots for the price. As noted by other reviews, the tend to run large so I bought the small which fit my size 9.5 men's foot well.

I would rate this lower but it's not an item produced by the Historical Emporium so I feel it's not fair to judge them. These boots are from Funtasma and the quality's not that great. The "leather" material is not as stiff as you'd expect from a boot. Also I'm a size 9 in American sizes and these boots were just a bit too loose. I got the smallest size and they were too big. BUT as far as service goes, which was through the Historical Emporium, really good. They arrived on time and I suppose are priced fairly but I would say go the extra mile and purchase one of their more expensive boots.

Fit and feel great

The boots are a good fit. I wish there was a slightly smaller size, but they are comfortable and I can drive a manual transmission car without issues using the clutch. Haven't tested them in winter yet, but with a warm pair of socks, should be great for the winter galas.

For the money you can't find a higher quality boot out there.

These boots are really not great. I feel like the sole will start coming apart after a couple wears. FYI I found rubber riding boots that look nicer, have a better sole and are the same price.

The boots fit perfect! The zipper on the side makes them very easy to put on and take off.

I am SO happy with these boots. The zipper and lacing make for a perfect fit...even for a gal with big, strong calves like myself. I will certainly be getting a lot of wear out of these elegant boots since the heel is not too high or intimidating. :)

I've bought a pair of these boots every year since or two since 2014 because they're so perfect for fall through spring where I live. This year I was just shocked by the quality. There was dried glue around the edges that I could pick away with my finger, the heel foundations were loose, some edges were unfinished, and worst of all, both zippers were stuck so soundly that I have to spend 10+ minutes wrestling with them to zip up in the morning. My fingers are raw and red and hurt typing this. I know these are costume boots not made to be worn daily, but it's so bitterly disappointing to see the prices go up and the quality go down. These will probably be my last pair. 💔

I've been wanting another pair of Victorian boots to replace the ones I had back in the late 80's-90's and these were exactly what I was looking for! They were shipped and arrived quickly, the packaging was nicely done as well. I wasn't sure about ordering online since couldn't try on; my feet swell, and I have lower back issues, so the height of heel is always problematic, but these were perfect. I waited to try on after my workout when I have foot/ankle swelling and they stretched and accommodated easily and were really comfortable. I plan on wearing these for a planned trip to Salem in October and worn a few times while out and about, they already feel "broken in" enough for long hours of walking and standing. Glad I found this site for my "blast from the past" items and will be purchasing other items in the future. Great product at a great price!

I have wide toes so sometimes I'm concerned about the fit of boots with pointed toes, but I must say that these fit beautifully and look great! I originally got these for my Halloween costume, but I love them so much I'm sure I'll be wearing them this fall and winter on a regular basis. I've been hunting for a year to find Louis heel lace-up black Victorian lady's boots. These are so comfortable, and they look amazing! Even after breaking my leg above the ankle a year ago, the heel is not bothering me, and I see no problem with wearing these with my regular goth wardrobe when our weather gets cooler. My only regret is that they are not available in leather. I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

These boots are EVERYTHING. Stylish and comfortable and one of my best purchases. I took them on a trip to Italy and wore them with all of my dresses they were so perfect!!! I almost don’t want to tell people where I got it from lol!! (But I did of course) I normally wear a size 10 and I got size 11 and they fit perfectly. I have long toes (like fingers ) so there’s that.(my foot measures 10.3 inches, if that helps anyone). Anyway I plan to buy them in all colors. I love these boots sooooo much I am going to buy a backup pair. Buy them!!!!

Unexpectedly high quaility for the price. I love these boots and they were very comfortable from the first day of wear.

I have only worn them once but super comfortable. My only complaint has nothing to do with the boots but with Canada Post and Customs. If ordering from Canada be aware there is an additional 16% of added tax and duty, along with the exchange on the dollar. All that puts the costs over $200 for the boots. Not terrible but be prepared to pay the extra.

I was leery of buying footwear on line, there are too many size variations, and many sites are hard to exchange or return. But I liked the return policy and ordered the Ladies Leather Victorian Boot in black. I am so glad I did. They fit like they were made for me. Size is true, I have gotten many compliments on the boots. They are well made, and of good materiel. The leather is soft and pliable. Very comfortable walking in them. Shipping was fast, arrived two days sooner than was expected. Will definitely be ordering more items from Historical Emporium.

I wear a size 7.5 and was worried about the boots not coming in half sizes so I ordered size 8. The boots are very comfortable and not too sloppy. I'm extremely happy with the quality of the footwear for the cost. I expect to get years of use from them.

I read the reviews of others, and decided that these were what I wanted to get. They came in a heart beat, and fit like a dream. I had originally thought I'd just wear them with my victorian costume, but they are so comfortable, I wear them with lots of other things, I get loads of complements and they really are a perfect fit.

Just what I was looking for! Good look for stage productions that take place in the late 19th-early 20th century. Comfortable to boot! Was concerned as to whether I should size up or down because they don't come in half sizes. Sized down and when I took them out of the box I was a little worried, but as soon as I slipped them on I knew I had nothing to worry about. Fit beautifully. Came incredibly fast as well.

This boot is exactly what I needed for my steampunk/Dickens Faire look. I'm a 9.5 and these are a size 10 but they fit just right with a medium weight sock. I wore them on a girls night out with skinny jeans and they were comfortable and eye catching. A good value.

Very impressed with the product. I did purchase foam insoles for them which made for comfortable walking. I was amazed that the first time I wore them they were comfortable for the whole day. They also complimented my "vintage" outfit perfectly. I am very pleased with them.

Beautiful well made black boots with lace sides perfect for my outfit. I loved everything about these boots except that the tap on one of the heels turned sideways the first day I wore them. This was easily corrected and hopefully won't be a problem. Absolutely a beautiful look.

Excellent "pirate style" boot for professional or casual costume wear. Styling works beautifully, AND they are comfortable and well made. Completely undetectable that they are made of faux leather which of course drops the price of the boots considerably. Can't beat it for the approximate cost of $100! Very happy with the purchase. Took a chance and ordered small size as they are mens. I wear 10.5 to 11 in womens. Therefore they were too tight for me and returned them. The faux leather was a little stiff but a nice looking boot.

We ordered several pairs (50 or so) of these ivory boots. There were 15 or so pairs of these boots that were in a different shade of ivory. I was disappointed as we are a stage choir and our costumes are all supposed to match, including our shoes. You can see the difference in color on stage. (Editor's note: We try our best to have multiple sets of shoes match. Unfortunately, our supply chain has also been affected by the pandemic and has limited our flexibility for the next few months)

Exactly what I was hoping for. They fit true to size and are exceptionally elegant.

As it says: these shoes are comfortable (bought an M for a foot that typically wears a US 9.5 European 43; felt a bit big but still worked great!) and look amazing. Material is good quality, and they have been successfully worn for multiple full days of walking around in costume. Gaiters are a bit fiddly to apply (required a helper), but that's just how gaiters go. Great value; would recommend.

The boots looked so much more wonderful in person. They were ordered for our wedding but seeing how versatile they are and how well the craftsmanship is we will be using them for so many costumes!

These boots were perfect for what I needed, and are actually fairly comfortable. I'm a 10.5, so I had to get the size that was a little big but it's not so big that I'm worried about wearing them. They have a good weight, they're not cheaply made. Perfect for a distressed working class costume. My only criticism would be they are hard to put on with the covers on; but that might be because I haven't figured it out yet. The boot themselves have zippers but they aren't easily accessible with the covers on.

I was looking for a dashing pair of boots and the idea of having convertible boots struck my fancy. Sadly, despite ordering the smallest size (small for size 8-9) they were still too big. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 so I don't understand why they were too big. Also, wearing the low boot is fine but it's very plain looking. 3/5 for cool concept but could be a bit fancier and be nice in a smaller size.
