I have a Rough Rider 22 Long Rifle Revolver and I ordered one of your Western Holsters for it, and it is a match. The Holster is as tough as the gun is. I had a 2 inch brown leather belt which worked perfect. The Revolver now lives in the Holster and goes to the firing range with me. As you know the Holster can be put on either side (Hip) and that depends on which direction you want your Butt of the Revolver going. I ordered online, and the Holster arrived at a normal time. No long wait. There is not going to be an issue with the Holster because it is made of tough leather. It can also be adjusted to fit your Revolver by pressing on the holster.

Found this to be exactly what I wanted in a holster. Well made, looks great.

Overall, this is a great holster and reflects the influence of the old time West. My only surprise was that it didn't cover the trigger better. My second surprise was that the leather "strings" weren't lower, to tie around one's leg. These are not really complaints, simply observations that seemed unchacteristic of a western holster.

I bought this holster for my Uberti 1873 Cattleman .357 revolver. It's made from quality heavy leather and the craftsmanship is very nice. The holster fits my belt perfectly, and it fits my revolver perfectly. The only issue I have is that the hammer loop does not reach my revolvers hammer. I'll have to do a little bit of modification before Spring comes.

Many of the great western gunslingers... wore left-handed holsters even though they were right handed. The reason being... the cross-drew their revolvers by their stocks with opposite hands. This is a rich well constructed retro Western Pistol (Revolver only) holster. Very good quality.

The holster is a tremendous deal considering the cheap cost. It is a great product and fits my Vaquero .45 Colt very well.

I wear this on the right for a butt-forward draw and in works equally well with my replica Remington 1858 New Army and replica Colt 1873 SAA. Well made and the quality of the leather is top notch. Very happy I got it.

December 2017 I purchased the plain chocolate brown leather holster for my Ruger New Vaquero "Cowboy" stainless steel 357 Magnum. I've been handling and shooting old West firearms, their clones and gear for over 50 years. The leather is of good quality, stitching and especially how the gun seats within the holster is all top-notch. The holster is excellent. Placing the price aside because honestly grading a specific article on the fact that it's inexpensive compared to most comparative items of its kind is irrelevant to the subject. I was actually purchasing the holster as a temporary. The fact is, this holster complements the beauty of the revolver and its rosewood grips as it should. I absolutely have no doubt, soon after this holster receives local exposure, Historical Emporium is going to see a pattern of new customers from my neck of the woods. Now for the belt, let's see.

I just purchased a colt saa and needed a holster preferable a cross draw. I saw your add and I liked what I saw, then I looked up reviews ,and I was sold. This a really special holster and it can be adjusted for your particular guns shape. Love it.

Order came sooner than I figured . Very easy to form to the 45 and my 51/2" Cattleman clears it very fast and smooth. Takes awhile to calm down the smell but is well worth the wait. The leather is worked well and is better than rigs at twice { or better } the price.looks great with my old hawg leg [ Buntline} rig from the 70's .

Purchased this holster to pair with my brand new Bronze Ruger Wrangler. Excellent fit out of the box and in combination with the Bronze color of the pistol it is as if they were made for each other. The western holster was just as I imagined it from the website picture. It arrived in a timely fashion and is a nice piece of work - very sturdy, well-designed and feels quite good on the hip. Fit my non-firing 1873 Colt Peacemaker Calvary model 7 1/2" barrel very well.

Holds my SAA 7 1/2 inch barrel, but just barely. If it were a half inch longer, it would be perfect. And, it is affordable, which goes a long way in finding a holster for the Colt Cavalry Model. Looks like good heavy leather that will last and I debated whether it rated 5 stars or only 4 - decided 4 since it could use the extra half inch. Nice color leather, dark and and seems well made

Just received my long barrel western holster for my Uberti Cattleman with 7/12" barrel. Very happy with the holster. The leather seems very high quality, it's built well, and looks great also. Would highly recommend.

I purchased this holster based on the fact that it is advertised as being able to fit a replica of the 1851 Navy Colt revolver. I tried it as soon as I received the item but the gun does not fit. I followed the instructions to adjust the holster but that did not help. While the holster is well made and attractive, it does not do the job. I was forced to return it for a refund.

great holster the only thing I would add in the description is this holster can be added to a 2 piece holster setup not just a belt.

I own an 1860 Army Conversion open-top .45 LC made by Uberti that has an eight inch barrel. This holster is about an inch longer too short when the revolver is seated up to the trigger guard. Because it's an open face holster, the barrel extends outside the end of the holster, which is obviously not the intended look. I will say this though, Historical Emporium immediately responded to my concern and helped me with a different holster for my needs. However, I liked this holster much based on it's quality that I did not ask for a refund and I'm keeping it for a short barreled revolver. It would fit a six or seven inch barrel easily. In terms of quality, you will be impressed at not only the ruggedness of the leather and stitching, but also the beautiful tanning job. It's a gorgeous holster and for the price a real bargain. I'm very pleased I made this purchase although it unfortunately did not fir the intended barrel length. It is possible that I had a slightly miss-cut holster so I'd stick with the advertised measurements unless you have the exact same model as me. If yours is a Uberti 1860 Army Conversion open-top .45 LC, you would be better off buying the extra long model of this holster, which I did and it works great! I have about an inch to spare, which is useful for protecting the muzzle from accidental fouling when you kneel in deep snow or brush.

Nice holster. However, it does not fit the gun that they said it would. After following all directions the holster was still not a good fit for 45 cal black powder revolver.

Along with my my side draw, low ride holster, two gun Toby will ride again. (And I once found out why men should ride tall in the saddle) The quality of my holsters is beyond reproach. Not even a scratch in the leather and my 5.5" Remington fits like it was a custom made holster. Once fitted, my gun draws without a hitch. I will recommend Historical Emporium to everyone.

So I'm in a western show! Lots of fight scenes horseback riding etc. I only did the belt hold up two guns it barely shifted and stayed in place very comfortable although thick. But works great Love the smell of leather it comes with.

It is a nicely made holster, with a belt loop that can accommodate a 2" belt. I thought I had measured the length of my barrel appropriately but the original gun I bought it for (Uberti Remington 1858) had its barrel extending beyond the holster by almost 2" (measured at 8"). But the 7" barrel of a Pietta Spiller & Burr fit with just a tiny bit extending beyond the leather. Still, the overall shape of the holster kind of swallows both revolvers, so trying to shape it to the Pietta. Overall I am happy with it, and will purchase an Extra-Long holster soon.

I was never a fan of the crossbody holster and was looking for a side holster for my Taurus Raging Hunter. This fits the bill perfectly! Most important is that it protects the trigger guard and a 6 inch barrel doesn’t poke out of the bottom.

This is a great product. It works to perfection with 'Retro Western Revolvers' over a wide Guage Rating. I have actually ordered four more of these holsters.

I have a 1851 Navy colt "Yank" .44 cal. 7.5" barrel and it fits well. Because of the newness of the leather, it has taken some time to mold the leather to the feature of the weapon. Once complete I plan on treating the interior of the holster with leather dressing for a smoother draw. Tie-down is stiff but will soften with dressing.

The holster is just what was advertised. Does the job and seems very durable. Like it,use it, and if I find something else I desire I will use Western Emporium again.

I have several rigs, belts, holsters and this item was less than I expected from Historical Emporium. While some might say, "You get what you pay for", I got a sloppy fit and a stiff cardboard like holster, even though I specified the gun I was buying for. I will make due since it is not worth the trouble to ship back. I will not use in any open/public environment. The belt I ordered is covered under separate review and will end up costing more than I paid for better products in the past.
