It also works well with other long barrel smokeless revolvers, though I have to make some small adjustments when switching guns so the fit over the hammer is snug. Except for maybe the 2 rivets, very period correct, stitched very well but lines not perfect and that makes it better, more realistic.. Absolutely love it!!! Pietta 1851 Colt, 7 1/2 barrel, 44 cal

Ordered both strong side right handed and left handed. Both appear to be the same deign and quality and both seem to exhibit the same craftsmanship. My Rugar Vaqueros fit nicely. I was worried that the high rider belt might pose some problems drawing the revolvers and re-holstering them, but in competition last week end, they seem to work just fine. They are a generic design, so they are not specifically fitted for my 38-357 SAAs - but again, this does not seem to be an issue. Time will tell if they are duarable enough to hold up to the stresses and demands of competition. On the other hand the price is so reasonable that replacing them every three or four years would not be a significant burden - but I do EXPECT them to last much much longer.

I wanted something plain and not too fancy. exactly what I was looking for to match the powder belt I bought to attach it to. the gun sits a tad deep in the holster but it doesn't matter to me since I always customize mine exactly the way I need it. it sits well on the hip, good tough leather. Fits my 1878 Remington long barrel clone just fine. The aluminum sandwich means I can shape it for a snugger or looser fit, so if I want to switch to another gun, I can adjust the tension of the holster.

this is a well made holster, great stitching and the finish on the leather was excellent. It only required some minor adjustments to fit my revolver.

Fits well with space for drawing, maybe more than necessary but not problematic. It fits full length 8-9 barrels. Says cross draw but still hangs/fits straight. Good leather, well made, from Mexico. Worth the price.

Was a little Leary about ordering this holster just from the picture, and after a lot od deliberation and checking to make sure it it should fit my new revolver, I ordered it and glad I did. Yes, this is a 5 star review plain and simple. Not only did this holster fit my 1858 Remington, but also fit my S&W model 29 both with 8" barrel lengths. The holster is sleek and well made, real leather, and a real eye catcher. Pretty rare when I am 100% satisfied with anything, but yes this is one of those times. Recommend it hands down.

Shipment arrived a day early. Holster fits my 1873 cavalry model perfectly. Stitching is solid, holster is as well. Leather appears to be of high quality and the black stain is great. Only reason for 4 stars is that the leather was a bit dried out when it arrived. Quick application of a leather conditioner and everything is good to go. This holster should last me a lifetime out in the woods with proper care.

I have a Rough Rider 22 Long Rifle Revolver and I ordered one of your Western Holsters for it, and it is a match. The Holster is as tough as the gun is. I had a 2 inch brown leather belt which worked perfect. The Revolver now lives in the Holster and goes to the firing range with me. As you know the Holster can be put on either side (Hip) and that depends on which direction you want your Butt of the Revolver going. I ordered online, and the Holster arrived at a normal time. No long wait. There is not going to be an issue with the Holster because it is made of tough leather. It can also be adjusted to fit your Revolver by pressing on the holster.

I bought a belt and holster for two different 7.5” revolvers. At the same time I bought the matching holster for a 5.5” revolver. Fits my Old Model Ruger Vaquero 45 Colt Perfectly. All I need to do is swap out the holsters on the belt, for whichever revolver I want to carry.

You have to give it time in the garage or someplace for the heavy leather glue smell to dissappear but after that it's perfect.

The only thing I don't like is the angle of draw, I was looking for a harder horizontal cant to the piece, but still a really nice holster at this price point with the style and leather quality that you get.

Everything is perfect except the odor. I’m assuming that it’s the dye. It’s a pungent chemical odor. It’ll eventually go away, I hope. Not concerning enough to return.

Purchased the cross draw for a 1851 Revolver and it fit well. A little deep but will work. Contrary to popular belief, quick draw was a movie theory and not real life. Most holsters were not designed for quick draw.

Very nice holster. Nice tooling, color, etc. Good deal for the price. My only criticism is that it isn't double-stitched, and the stitching holes are rather wide-spaced on the long side. Don't expect it toaffect performance much, if any, but would like the extra cushion of safety. Still for the price....

Found this to be exactly what I wanted in a holster. Well made, looks great.

Overall, this is a great holster and reflects the influence of the old time West. My only surprise was that it didn't cover the trigger better. My second surprise was that the leather "strings" weren't lower, to tie around one's leg. These are not really complaints, simply observations that seemed unchacteristic of a western holster.

I bought this holster for my Uberti 1873 Cattleman .357 revolver. It's made from quality heavy leather and the craftsmanship is very nice. The holster fits my belt perfectly, and it fits my revolver perfectly. The only issue I have is that the hammer loop does not reach my revolvers hammer. I'll have to do a little bit of modification before Spring comes.
