Wore this to a wedding this weekend. It was the perfect crowning touch to my Cowboy cut tux and western vest. Looks as good as the pictures here and it arrived early. I have never been disappointed in anything I have ordered from this business. The wedding photographer kept taking photos and said we were the best dressed couple. I got a ton of compliments and was amused at how many folks wanted a picture with me. Did I mention I love the tie?

Awesome tie! It provides just enough style to accent your wardrobe without being all uppity. As a circuit rider, I wear the plain black canvas vest, trousers, and coat. It is the perfect accent when I'm not wearing a clerical collar. The fabrics all have that natural, rustic appearance that adds authenticity to the look. This Tie as well with my Black Hills Vest Taupe and Sinclair Edwardian Club Collar Shirt - White was a hit in South Dakota two weeks ago. All their puff ties are fabulous. So far, every one I have bought has come with the tie pin. Well made enough to dress any outfit, inexpensive enough to have a rainbow of selections. There is a little tab of fabric under the 'fall' of the tie, where you see the tie pin. It helps you stick the pin in and hold the ends up as puffy as you would like to make it. Excellent value for the price!

Very, very pleased with this tie! It arrived quickly (faster than expected). Material is solid, and clasp is similar to bow-ties you get with tuxedo rentals, so it's easy to adjust. Works perfectly with a banded collar shirt and is a great touch with a Scully vest (see related review). This is great for costumes and a perfect addition for an authentic looking Old West outfit.

Purchased for a person who does Victorian reenactments. It's high-quality, perfectly stitched, I looked it over carefully before giving as a gift....the recipient said the puff tie fit comfortably, and this guy doesn't even care to wear ties! Said it was so comfortable around the neck, he forgot he was wearing it for a few hours!!! Comes in a nice package, the little diamond-type tie tack is a nice touch. He said he had many compliments on the tie! And has thanked me over and over for the puff tie! : )

I bought this for a black tie event, but sadly never got the chance to wear it out. Life happened, and had to back out at the last minute. That being said it's well made. The tie tack is a nice touch, and it looks sharp with a vest and a white shirt. The fact that it buckles is nice...i have no idea how to tie a tie like this. Shipping was much faster than anticipated. Got it almost a full week before the projected delivery time. Would definitely shop this store again.

Up until now I would have simply made one of these ties, but I'm impressed enough with the quality of this one and the speed of delivery and ease of purchase that I'm just going to keep buying them from from Historical Emporium.

Great tie looks awesome

Nothing fancy, meaning - not a lot of material, but the material that was used is quality and the sewing is well done. Only minor notch in the near perfect score is the latch system to clasp the tie together around the neck. It's hard to explain, but it turns sideways when latching, so it bunches up the tie strap. VERY minimal issue.... almost not work noting, except made it 1/2 a second more challenging to un-clasp when taking it off for the evening. THANKS!

It is solidly made and easy to adjust and put on. The pattern is classic and it is man-made fabric for those who do not want to support boiling silk worms to death due to objection to unnecessary killing of animals.

I have purchased several different puff ties for my husband's Edwardian wardrobe. All of them have been excellent! I really love the color of this one, and it matches perfectly with one of my Edwardian outfits. Extra bonus!

I really like these puff ties. Beautiful pattern, very classy. The only fault I have is that they clip on. Wish there was a way to disguise the cheesy clip to maintain athenticity. If I don't have a jacket on, the clip is clearly seen on the unfolded collar. Other than that it's a very nice tie.

First time I've used a puff tie. I interpret a 19th century undertaker in Ohio. Decided to class him up a bit as a successful professional. With my top hat, frock coat, and double breasted vest and walking cane, the puff tie made the image I was looking for. Easy to use..recommend it.

This cravat is absolutely stunning! Nice texture, and the red really adds a pop. Worked well with my rounded collar shirt, and the hook on the back hasn't failed me as of yet. Overall a wonderful product!

This is my first puff tie I have purchased from G.E. and I am very pleased with it! The red is quite vivid, and really pops. Easy to adjust to fit, easy to wear. The only issue I have is not with the tie, it's with the many reviews I've read that claim the metal clasp is not authentic! I did some research and found the identical clasp in many, many period photos! So buy with confidence, and trust the good people at G.E. to have done our research for us.

You bet! This was the first tie of this sort I have purchased and I was a little wary at first. But I had been super thrilled with all my other purchases from Historical Emporium so I took a chance with it and was pleasantly surprised. It's a simple little tie, but it's a great way to get jazzed up for any special occasion. It seemed to be well made and the hook and eye on the back secure it well when wearing it. I would definitely recommend this puff tie to anyone looking to recreate a victorian era look and I've already compiled a list of other ties I am looking in to.

Received my black puff tie in the mail very quickly. The tie is very elegant. I enjoy wearing it to church. I get many complements. Back in the day, this would be essential for a gentleman to wear.

not at all impressed - seemed very sub standard material - unfitting to go with the higher quality vest - I would have been very disappoint had t cost half as much - as is - feel poorly used.

This tie adds to the wing tip shirt perfectly. It comes with the little stud. It stayed in place, and was adjustable.

Amending earlier comment... Although the tie was really nice, I did not realize a diamond tie tack came with it, so I ordered a pearl tie tack to go with the tie. Either I missed something or it needs to be pointed out that the tie comes with a tie tack.

It was a really nice tie. One problem was that it was hard to keep the adjustment clip from sliding and altering the size. I had to add a small safety pin for it to stay in place.

The Material is exactly what I expected. The Lengh of the Puff tie is perfect too! The only reason for 4 stars is because the Puff tie itself is a PAIN to get on! So whatever you do PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE with the adjustment parts so you can get that perfect fit every time. Make sure you also purchase a shirt that has a tab in the back to slip the buckle into, or else it will eventually ride up your neck and will become loose and you'll look ridiculous. But if you are looking for a sharp black puff tie, purchase this one and you will not be dissapointed! :)

This was my first purchase from the Hisorical Emporium and I have to say I'm impressed. I had been looking for something different for awhile but could never find anything that caught my eye untill I found this website. I looked through what they had and was shocked to find vintage styl clothes for a good price and I purchased a red Twin city vest and this silver puff tie. I wore this to church and other events and immediately recieved complements from my friends who kept asking me where I got it but all that aside this is a very good product I love the adjustable neck band verses a clip on and the quality is outstanding for the price and I will be getting another soon.

I bought this tie to wear day to day. It is a stunning color and easy to wear. The only issue I had was that the tie tack looks a little cheap, other than that, I highly recommend this tie.
