I was in general pleased with this coat ,however the stitching on the back ,is as a Frock Coat therefore slimmed down ,whereas a Sack Coat should be a DrapeBack Box Shape.The button Holes I found were too small for the buttonsI bought a size 42 though my English size is 40,so bearing on mind the slim nature of the cut a size 44 would have been better

Great fit. Sturdy somewhat stiff at first. But with a day of wear, it's worn in good. Love this coat!

I've always had a difficult time finding clothes in the style that appeals to me. Then I found Historical Emporium and ended up buying 12 items within a week. Very well made a dn comfortable coat. I bought this to complete a set of Victorian clothes i was to use for a wedding. It may well become my everyday wear coat.

Beautiful Sack Coat. Love the styling and the many compliments received. Rich texture, deep black color and the coat size is "true to fit." Wish there were additional dark color options like a navy blue or burgundy.

I love this coat. It is cut differently than today's coats. The shoulders are wide with a little padding. It allows you to move. And unlike today's coats/jackets, the waist isn't huge. It is cut slim. The brushed cotton is heavy and just feels luxurious. I am thrilled with coat and will wear it frequently.

A quality coat with accurate sizing & authentic styling. Low shine cotton fabric is perfect for the look and comfort I wanted. A little watch pocket might have been nice, but no real complaints. I'm very pleased.

This Livingston cutaway sack coat is a very well made coat with an all round tailor-made look & fit's me well the sizing was spot on to my size that i ordered. This is an excellent addition to my Old West wardrobe & highly recommended as a purchase.

The Livingston cutaway sack coat is a VERY NICE coat for the money . It runs true to my standard suit coat sizing and fit me perfectly . The only problem i had was that the top button hole was sewn too small for the button . Easy fix for me so i just handled that problem in house.

The product came in good condition, and it was very sturdy and well made. It was just a TINY bit stiff when we took it out, so trying to get it into a more natural shape to put on our actor was a little tricky indeed. Everything arrived on time for our event with the expedited shipping and the quality of the suit jacket and vest and tie were excellent! The pants were not the correct size , so I think on the next order we would check more closely on the style and the sizing of trousers .Overall very satisfied with this company and it's products. Excellent coat, high quality, and perfect fit. However, it was a bit heavier than I wanted and returned it for exchange. Ordered to preform Wedding for My Grand Daughter, fit the bill to the T

Nice coat and had that period look and feel. A good fit for the actor I was building a period costume for who was leaving for a film shoot in Austria. The only problem I found was that the p coat buttonholes are too small for buttons. Very difficult to open and close. Since, the actor will be leaving the coat open the problem did not have to be remedied.

I love the coat. I had to take it to the tailor and have the sleeves take up but otherwise it’s perfect.

This is a great coat, but I ordered in 42 and reordered in 44 and STILL the arm at least 1" too short.

This is a nice, well made, heavy coat; not a cheap costume piece. Ordered a size 50 to fit my 49 inch chest size for a perfect fit! The sleeves are always too long for me by about an inch and need hemming. I wear these coats all the time and just wish they were available in additional colors like a navy blue or burgundy and maybe in some lighter, summer weather fabrics !

This coat is high quality and I'm very happy with it. It is very well made.

I did find this jacket rather large for the size indicated... I had to have mine tailored, although I ordered the size of my chest measurement (38), it was very roomy. Perhaps best for a broad-shouldered gentleman! After some adjustments, it is a wonderful coat, Victorian, but subtle enough to wear every day with modern clothes too. Very heavy fabric, as others have indicated... suited to cool weather. Many thanks for this unique addition to my wardrobe!

The product is very heavy, but I have no doubt that it is authentic. I don't know how those people lived. I had to send it back because it was too large, and I am just waiting for one to come in in my size.
