I needed some spare collar studs, since mine always seem to wander off when I launder my cowboy shirts. These are first-rate quality at a very reasonable price, and the shipping was incredibly quick.

These Studs I prefer much more than the standard one that is sent with a shirt that requires it, because they have excellent grip based on the shape of the ball. Does not constrict your neck or anything like that either. You'll need to buy these if you lose things easily too trust me!

An additional packet of collar studs is recommended if you are ordering a shirt that requires even one. They are easily lost.

I am very happy with my purchase. However, I think your website could be way more rad with some artistic black and white photography that shows your clothing in period settings. What you have going is "okay," but it could be much better. Just my opinion. So many young people are "re-enacting" because today's world is so fake and "un-authentic." One of the best products I have purchased. Simple and useful. They were less expensive (including shipping) than the collar stud pair offered on another website. They should be quite effective for fastening on and dressing up my detatchable Victorian collar. Quite happy with purchase.

These are very nice and comfortable. You get three probably in case you lose one.

I use these for detachable collars. The button holes in the collars can get stretched by the studs making them less effective.

The collar studs were used with a detachable round-cornered collar. The stud worked nicely to hold the collar together in the front. I should have sewn a button on the back of the shirt near the collar so I could have buttoned the collar to the shirt. The collar turned to the side while worn. Studs are good quality.

I purchased the studs to complete my 1908 impersonation of a local historical figure for my city's 150th year celebration of its incorporation. They were perfect; easy to use and look nice.

All of the products I ever buy on this site have a beutiful authentic look. They are very beutifly made! Also they have wonderful caring old fashoned servous.

My Order was prompt; it was executed without a delay. The quality of the material was excellent. The only problem I had with the Studs was; that they were all of the same size. I finally came to the conclussion that they were meant for wear with an Evening Dress Shirt. eg all three buttons in front. A collar studs consist of two; a long One and a short One. The long stud goes in front of the shirt, because it has to pass through four holes; (the shirt has two holes, and the collar two holes) ; the short stud, which is referred to as the back stud, goes through two holes only. One hole on the back of the shirt, and one hole on the collar. You can verify my information with Austin Reed of Regent Street, London. This shirt works perfectly with my Victorian costume for Community Theatre.

The size of historically cut shirts can be tricky, as the HE site does say, but it means that I have to get the sleeves shortened to fit me before I wear this. The cloth is lovely quality, and it looks great with the black stock.

I love the material and style of the shirt. Packaging was great and felt adequate (perhaps better) to protect the item from anything that fate would throw at it. I especially love the fluted chest fabric, as it looks very dashing.

Perfect for formal wear and using it for a cemetery tour I was involved with. Just don’t do like I did measure you neck size and go with it. I ordered my usual dress shirt size and it was way too big.

Although I have not worn it yet, I did try it on. It fits well, the sizing guide was correct. The only disappointment was the buttons. I had to change them out to white bone buttons, which I will again change out to white glass buttons when I have more time. When trying to recreate a period look, clear plastic buttons is not the way to go. Otherwise no complaints. It shipped faster than I thought it wood and seemed to have it overnight.

Wish the sleeves were 1-2 inches shorter. Will use garters or rubber bands to address issue. Sleeves to long for size based on neck fit.

This is a quality product! When the product arrives, the material feels thin; but after one run through the laundry the material fills out and you can appreciate the quality of the cotton and the stitching. MAKE SURE that you measure yourself using the instructions provided at Historical Emporium's web site for best fit. If you find yourself at the larger end of the sizing, go a size up as a loose fit will look more authentic and will be more comfortable. You will have to iron this shirt, it is 100% cotton. I have found it best to tumble dry for a few minutes to remove excess water, then hang dry for best wear. Hope this helps.

We ordered per the size chart and the size L was actually larger than the chart says (in the neck measurement). So, we had to send it back and order a medium. Medium fits perfectly. Looks great with his Victorian tux and tails costume for historical dancing. Thank you!

I love wing collars and the addition of the cuff-link and stud option to a 100% cotton Victorian dress shirt was a very welcome and wise change to this product. Very nice looking and comfortable shirt that is well made in a good quality cotton. Size is a bit bigger than expected, but after a cold wash and a tumble dry it shrunk to a perfect fit.

I needed a shirt like this with a nice crisp high collar to cement my outfit for a Victorian era party. Its a pullover, with a quarter button up. Don't worry about fumbling around with the button holes because they are perfect. Throw a cravat around you're neck and you'll look like you stepped straight out of the late 1800's. The cuffs are also pretty rigid. The sleeves run a little long but you can throw some sleeve garters on to really take things up a notch.

I love this shirt, it is all I had hoped for. The fit is right and very comfortable.

Love the shirt, the fit is great and the look is exactly what I wanted. I found out at the cleaners that it needs to be dry cleaned because it does not open up in front and can't fit on the ironing device they use. So it costs a little more to get cleaned. No biggie but something to consider I suppose.

Great quality cotton shirt pullover with buttons half way down chest and gathered back. Putting it on transforms you into an old time shopkeeper or gambler. The XL was very roomy. I usually wear a 34 sleeve and 17 neck. Neck was comfortable but I probably could have gone with a large. Was long too so plenty to tuck in. Well worth the cost for its authentic build. With the unique collar, a regular dress shirt cannot compare.

Very good quality textile. Crafted as well as any modern-made shirt. It should last a long time. Because of the full-cut, I will need to have the sleeves shortened, but that was expected.
