The pair I received was not what I expected based on the picture . The leather was poorly tanned and had more the feel and look of a plastic glove rather than a leather glove. The cut of the fingers did not fit a normal man's hand (I had several friends try them on to be sure it wasn't just me). The thumb is much too long for a normal hand and is therefor unsuitable for a working glove. I will be returning the product. Thank you.

I really like this riding skirt. I had worn the kind with a panel in front that can be buttoned to look like a skirt or pants. This skirt is a lot lighter to wear. It goes down to about the ankles and looks nice with my cowboy boots. Easy to climb over gates when doing chores and getting on a horse. Lays nice when in the saddle and doesn't really billow out or ride up. I especially like that I can wear a belt with this. I can't say how it holds up over time as I haven't worn it much yet. I got one size bigger than I normally wear and it just fits. I would get another that is one size bigger for winter so that I would have room for wearing long underwear or sweatpants underneath. I would recommend this to any cowgirl who wants to feel or look modest and feminine.

Years ago I had a safari bush jacket which did not survive the passage of time. After searching numerous vendors, they often had them for a much higher price--and didn't come in my size. Happily, this was affordable, of fine quality--and fits! I've got my favorite weekend jacket again.

I was looking for a coat for the last several years to complete an outfit for use in my class. Happily, the Victorian Cutaway Coat fit the bill, including the wool it was fashioned from. This was intended as a dignified captain of industry from the early Victorian era. It will work perfectly. It also came in my size, which was hard to find elsewhere.

This blouse is beautifully made and made out of a fabulous fabric. I love it and will get many years of wear out of it in my Victorian costumes and my everyday life.

This heavy leather cross-draw holster is made perfectly for the Western style six-shooters with barrel lengths up to six inches. It's handmade in Mexico (not India or China), so it is heavy duty. Worth the price to last a lifetime.

This 1873 Western Frontier six-shooter replica is a good one. It is about as heavy as the real handgun and well-made. Maybe because it is manufactured in Spain rather than China. It will hold dummy cartridges which are also available from the Historical Emporium. This gun is worth the cost.

These boots are excellent. I ordered the dark brown in size 13 and with a large insole it fit my 12 1/2 foot very well. The calf design is comfortable. The form of the boot is highly functional. The leather is of good quality and is uniformly dyed. The insoles they shipped with are remarkably comfortable. I have worn them for the duration of a 3 day renaissance faire and and they held up quite well. It is difficult to find knee-high, anachronistic boots for men that don't have the ~500$ pricetag that accompanies custom work. I would highly recommend these.

Some trial and error in getting the right fit but worked out and the delivery was extraordinarily fast.

I like the belt but they need to be looked over alittle bit better the quality of craftman ship is a little low to mainy defects. Can tell its mad buy cheap labor or people that dont care.

These pants are a lot thicker than I expected. They are even better quality than one would expect from what would normally be labeled as "costume" or "stage wear". I could wear these pants nearly weekly if given reason.

My son's face on seeing this coat. And then to feel the beautiful fabric and finally to put it on. It fits perfectly, made exquisitely, and is a stunner in every way. I do not believe it could be bettered. I am sure my son will be wearing this for many years to come!!

I needed a holster for an up coming trip to the outback of Alaska....WHILE THIS HOLSTER IS PROBABLY A FINE COSTUME ITEM..I don't think it would handle the extreme conditions above the Alaska.

I purchased another pair of boots over a year ago. I love them and have been wearing them on a daily basis for the past few months. I decided I needed a second pair and settled on these. They are wonderful. The heel is slightly higher but they are extremely comfortable. They lace up nicely and have great ankle support.

So far so good. I've only worn it once. Matches a black suit of mine fairly well. The material is a bit thicker and heavier than I was expecting from a wool/polyester blend. The most annoying thing is that there were many loose threads around the button holes that caught on the buttons and had to be burned off. But I'll probably wear it again.

I bought these for my husband for reenactment, and he is delighted. He normally buys medium, but the small fits well. They're easy to get on and off.

Having looked online for some time for this style pith helmet, I found the Historical Emporium's website and made the purchase. The workmanship, styling and quality are great. I found the fit initially tight on my forehead but soaking the helmet in the water (as it's designed for), and a gentle reshaping, fixed it. I wear it daily in the desert climate of CA. The quick service was also stellar.

very disappointed as the Hunter green coat also 44 fit this is much too small, when I reordered more coats I ordered them in 46, cannot understand why hunter coat fit and this one was 2 or 3 inches smaller, overall so far the hunter coat was nice enough that I sent you another order for 3 more coats.i tried to call the # you had listed but never heard back on this one
