I remember the broomstick skirts from my "hippie" days and this one is a beautiful reproduction. I'm 5'1" and the length is good. No tripping on the hem. The color matches a lot of other colors and can be dressed up or down for any occasion. I'm glad I found this website for future needs.

This hat appears to be of reasonable quality for the price. Be aware that the hat fits a bit larger than the measurement chart suggests.

I volunteer at a local museum 2 days/week. This blouse is perfect for the "Little House on the Prairie" look I wanted. Needs ironing, but the material is really nice, size as stated (!), and very comfortable. I love the ivory/ecru color as well. I can even wear outside the museum. My son (15 year old) loves the vest. It was used for spirit week in high school and the theme was the 80s so he chose the 1880s...He also has the shirt and the tie as pictured. He looked dapper!

In your photo, the parasol canopy appeared to be solid for sun protection (as advertised) , however, it had decorative holes, which allowed the sun rays to shine through. My wife needs full protection, so I had to return it. The USPS cost of return was $17.00+, which I had to pay out of pocket. I thought that there should have been a return label enclosed in the box, but NO !! So obviously I will not be purchasing any more of your nice products online. This experience with Historical Emporium cost me $17.00+. The parasol was quite pretty, but not functional.

I can't get over the quality for the price of this boot. I wear a size 11 and I ordered an 11. it does run a little large, but as in other reviews mention this about this boot I was expecting it. I just added a thicker sock and the fit is comfortable and pleasant. I can't wait to get them all broken in and have them get that natural "patina" that a good pair of boots deserve.

Nice quality pants. Although all their pants apparently need to be hemmed (hence the loss of one star) they are of such nice quality I am considering buying more (now that I know my proper size and hopefully don't have to depend on their customer service replying to my email).

The Deadwood badge is a nice stamping reproduction of the original. it's heavy duty in construction and has a nice weight to it without being too heavy. soldered pin clasp on back is a secure attachment point for any weight garment fabric. Made in the USA is a BIG plus in my opinion. quality prop for your collection.

This mustache is a well made product, but it is not blonde. It is very dark in color, much closer to light brown than to blonde.

This is a really nice tooled leather gunbelt, well made, heavy duty and quite beautiful. Smith and Wesson model 586 with 6” barrel fits nicely. I have 33” waist for pants, I ordered size 40, it’s fine but I could have gone 38”. There is a fairly good amount of adjustability with all the belt holes at the buckle so it’s fine. But my advice would be, if you are 32 or 33 waist, get size 38 and it will be right in the middle of adjustment. This is a very good product at any price, but for the low price they charge it is incredible! Leather goods made in Mexico are very traditional old west.

I was initially interested in a different vest, but it was out of stock and I needed a very BLUE vest for an outfit I am putting together for Halloween, so rolled the dice on this one -- AND WON! Outstanding vest and fit! The delivery time was unbelievable and now that I have it, I can see other uses for it during the year with other suits I have if I want to "take them up a level" as well. I'm 5'10, broad shouldered, but shorter upper body, so I'm always concerned with the length of such items, but this one fit spot-on! This together with my black bowler and royal blue hat band I am using for Halloween (and purchased from this site) will make for a great statement at parties over the coming week...and beyond.

I've wanted a pocket watch for ages, but all I could afford in the past was a cheap spring that over wound with seven half twists of the stem. Needless to say when I discovered you had pocket watches at a price I could afford (I am, admittedly, in a better financial place than I have been) the question rapidly became "which one to get?" I went with this one for the colour (silver and copper are my personal favorites), the aesthetic of the classic roman numerals, and the fact that you don't have to actually open the watch to check the time (convenient for a quick glance). It arrived very well packaged, is lovely in person, and came with very clear instructions for care, winding, etc. Needless to say, this one I could wind without it breaking. You do indeed get what you pay for.

The quality of my skirt is wonderful.

Ordered a pair of these to dress up my Formal Hufflepuff outfit and they're great! In the past I've only be able to find cheap, vinyl costume spats which, while effective, have also been rather uncomfortable. These were much more comfortable, especially about the ankle (I have just over a 9" ankle and ordered a pair in small), and look smashing! I'm already looking at different styles and colours.

I received my order quickly, unfortunately the size I chose was just too large. I returned the boots and ordered the next size down. Too small. I really like the boots cut they just don't appear to be available in my size.

The coat fits well, and is of surprising good quality. There is a big extra pocket on the inside that fits your average size novel in it. Or a big bag of weed if you want. Overall I am very glad for the service I received and even when I got a hold of a customer service rep I was promptly helped. Definitely worth the price, and I'll be shopping from Historical Emporium more in the future!

The boots looked even better in person and are unexpectedly comfortable to wear! The craftsmanship on them is very impressive! These handsome boots are made far better than any modern equivalent. Once again I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of items carried by this shop.

The shirt is good quality fits well. I wish it was a made with heavier or thicker or a higher thread count material not that is is bad ,I like shirts that you can't see through you can see the tee shirt lines on arms and chest. But overall it is fine

Hi I bought the Sheridan Vest-Navy as part of a period costume that I am developing for my work of creating handcrafted journals, selling at local market stalls. I don't particularly like buying clothing online as over the years I have had a degree of unsuccessful purchases not being to feel the texture, try it on for size (who has the perfect body dimensions??), check details and just be with it "in life". Looking through Historical Emporium though, I have seen many items that I would like to eventually purchase, so thought I'd start with this vest to see how my experience went. Well.... the vest finally arrived (I live in Australia) and it is absolutely, beautifully made. I am a quilter and love fabrics; and I must say that the quality of workmanship is fantastic both inside lining and outside overall, the garment fits me perfectly and has been a real asset to my costume. So thank you Historical Emporium for caring for your customers both in reasonable pricing (even for those of us who have currency differences) and customer service; like was done in days gone by!!! It is refreshing to find a company (online) that takes pride in their name even for those of us who live so far away!!!!

Surprised by excellent quality!

The cut of this shirt is way too small! I normally wear an XL (17 inch neck) and according to the size chart that is what I should order. when it arrived, I couldn't even get the collar ends within an inch of each other. The shoulders and sleeves were small too. I returned it for an XXL. when it arrived again I was excited even though the shirt was now $10 more that I had paid due to the return, but my costume would be complete. Yet again the collar was small. This time the ends did touch each other so I had to have the collar buttons moved to the very ends ($15 at the dry cleaners for the job) and use collar button extenders ($20 on Amazon) to be able to wear the shirt. Per the sizing chart the collar should have been a 17/17.5 but the shop that did the button repair said that it was cut to a 16.5 inch collar. I ended up paying a total of $105. 00 for a shirt that was advertised as $69. Not a good monetary choice on my part

I was amazed at how comfortable these were right out of the box. Good fit, great style. However, on the pictures of the shoes in the ad the markings on the soles of the shoes show what looks to be a logo of a cow hide with the word "Genuine" over the to of the logo and nothing under the logo. I took this to mean the soles were "genuine leather", NOT! After receiving them in the mail, I was able to see the full logo, "genuine" and the cow hide picture and in small letters "MAN MADE". This made what I thought was a good purchase into an adequate one. The shoes will work, but I know that they will not last long before falling apart. I feel that this deceptive advertising if this was done on purpose (not showing the bottom of the cow hide logo with the words "Man Made"). So for the price of a costume, very expensive.

This is a great hat! I wear it to ride my vintage style WW11 motorcycle with sidecar. I found the sizing to be small and had to return original order for a larger size-- but a few minutes on the phone with the staff got another one out the same day with a shipping label for the return-- so no hassle or problems with return/exchange. I have shopped here before and have always had a good experience.

This skirt is perfect under my mid-1800s period costume. Not too big, but it keeps my skirt up.
