I really dig this vest. It appears a little darker in person than in the pics, which I like. The back of the vest feels like some kind of microfiber - it is extremely soft.

I got this for wearing with my costume. They look really nice on. I am glad I got a 1/2 size larger because the toe is more pointed than what I am used to. I will need to wear these around to break them in for comfortable fit.

I usually wear a small size, but was glad that I got a medium. I don't like clothes to be tight on me and the medium fit just fine.

I was very impressed with this vest. The fabric is beautiful; It is well constructed & arrived on a hanger under plastic. How ever it is too big.

Purchased for my husband who wanted a collar vest. I purchased two, this one and a wool tweed. We are keeping both, but this is his favorite because is is lighter and the tweed is quite warm.

I wasn't really looking for a holster when I found this black Western holster, but, when I saw it and that they had it also for a .357 I had to get it. The shipping on it was incredibly fast and it was packed extremely well. My .357 that perfectly and it looks nice.

I have been looking for a hat like the slouch hat for a long time, when I saw it online I thought it looked like what I was looking for in a hat. The speed of the shipping was outstanding, when I open the box and saw the hat it was exactly what I was looking for and it fit perfectly. I will enjoy wearing the hat.

The blue engineer bib shirt is as expected, except for the buttons, after the first wash three buttons came off. I have replaced the buttons with rivet jean buttons which has solved the problem. I love the design and will buy again.

We love this hat; at first I was concerned about the practicality and wondered if it were only suited for trips to Tombstone. I was wrong on both counts. It fits great (ordered an XL for a 23") and it looks excellent on for daily wear. Perfect for winter in the desert. Received it within a couple of days and are thrilled--so was the birthday recipient.

My husband uses a cane or walking stick daily; this was a fabulous find. Order was a cinch, and we received it within a few days. Perfect for someone 5'10", and he loves the flasks. You never know when that might come in handy.

Really nice, versatile style. Matches the pants perfectly, and despite being wool, it doesn't feel noticeably warm. I wouldn't wear it in summer, but otherwise, a good choice.

I absolutely love these pants. I had my doubts about the high-waist thing, these being my first of the style. Frankly, they aren't really all that high, but high enough to be a very different experience. Having the higher waist proved to be crazy comfortable. I want more in this style for everyday wear! The sizing is dead on - I ordered one size up from my usual waist size, cinched the back by about a 1/4 inch, and I was set. Just remember, unless you are really tall, these require leg tailoring. One note about the material - I would not recommend wearing them in summer heat and humidity. They are clearly best for fall/winter, and the cooler days of spring. They breathe really well, but they are not "all-season" wool.

I look almost as good as the model in this hat!! It's perfectly lovely - better than I could have imagined. I'll be wearing it at Dickens on the Strand in Galveston, Texas.

Less than 5 days prior to my boarding a plane to get Tombstone, AZ for a vow renewal at the OK Corral, my sister sent a photo of what she wanted the groomsmen to wear. What started out as a casual affair, "wear what you like" developed into a requirement for specific and authentic 1800's attire for all the people in the wedding party. Since I've ordered clothing from the Historical Emporium in the past for my family who are residents of Tombstone, it was the first site I sought in hopes the 5-piece order could be filled in 4.5 days, although I knew the possibilities were slim. Well, the customer service stayed in contact with me and the items were delivered before the flight! I really did not think it was possible because the site clearly states that items could be shipped from various distribution points. I was afraid I would receive my order in separate shipments arriving at different days and times. Not the case - everything arrived in 2 shipments and earlier than expected. The quality of the materials was exceptional and the items were well made. My husband looked quite sharp! I bought him a brocade vest, a Tombstone shirt, an ascot tie and some small accessories. The customer service rep also reduced the shipping cost from what was quoted on the order because she arranged for more economical shipping! I will continue to order attire and accessories from the website for gifts and for ourselves to wear when we visit Tombstone, AZ. Buying your own rather than renting is so much better and it is possible because the prices are reasonable for high quality merchandise that is authentic 1800's. Thank you for getting the order shipped correctly and earlier than expected. You're truly the best!! And having diligent customer support makes all the difference! Love the boots but it is a bit too big even if it is the smallest size

I followed the instructions on the site and took an actual measurement of my waistline before ordering. My usual pants size is 36 to 38, depending upon the cut of the pants, so when I got a measurement of 44, I was hesitant to order that size. Fearing I was ordering too large, I went ahead anyway, since the Historical Emporium honors returns, and was glad I did. Sure enough, they fit perfectly. Had the local tailor hem the legs, without cuffs. Great match with the Highland Vest/Waistcoat that I ordered a few months earlier. The only quibble, a minor one, was the missing suspender buttons on the back waistband (although the front suspender buttons were there), but the tailor was able to add matching buttons easily. These dress pants are the most comfortable that I now own.

When my shirt came in I tryed it on and the fit was perfect and it is butter soft. I slept with it on that nite , it is so nice. And it blocks the wind coming thru i,ll be looking good in the woods chasing deer around .thanks

The holster was perfect for what I wanted. I had a ammo belt already and was looking for a holster. This holster not only fit the belt perfectly, but also, was a perfect fit for my Ruger revolver. Thank you very much.

This one is a size 46 and fit is a little snug. Have 2 that are size 44 that fit about the same . I can't tell the difference between the two different sizes . I have a size 48 that is just a little loose, so. I reply don 't know what size to order and I 'm really not wanting to get into a shipping back and forth.

I thought the holster was not very well made. As advertised it was made of leather, however the holster seems flimsy, particularly the leather binding on the holster? Editors Note: The leather on the shoulder holster is intentionally lighterweight so it can be comfortably worn under a jacket or coat.

This is a well made shirt that will go with virtually any color scheme. The material is of medium weight and so should be comfortable even even in warmer weather. N. B. Shirts from this era tend to be a little loose and blousy, not slimly tailored like modern ones. You'll want to remember this when you order.

I like the blouse, however came with missing back snaps. I would like to see more western shirts like this type! I'm old school and even though their not in for showing I still show my horses and win in them. Would like the horse industry to go back in time!!! I sent a contact form didn't get a response. My only problem is shipping cost $9.00 to receive it $9.00 to return it and another $8.00 to exchange and item that was defective. This doesn't make me want to shop on line. In the advertisement for this item I believed that the back material was a silk or blend of silk due to the sheen of the material. When I received the actual item it was a dull darker gray fabric. Not satisfied. The other was a great piece with great material and workmanship.

good material. the embossing is not correct. The left hand of the belt has the right hand embossing. Lousy quality control. If the embossing was correct I would rate it a five star for the money.

the quality is very poor. the holsters are very much oversized. the stitching and leather is of low quality. the brown rig is far superior.

I already wore it to a cowboy shoot and really like it. Being in Georgia, it is just right for when it is cold in the morning and then starts to warm up during thelater rounds of the match. It is not too heavy and really looks great. I sent a picture of me with it on to my sister in Texas and she called to see where I bought it and she ordered one for my brother in law who also does cowboy shooting ;^)

This is a great vest for my period outfit. The 4 front pockets are easy to use and hold my timepiece, and compass as well. The button holes are generous enough for an Albert Chain as well. The color is quite pleasant and adds to my outfit. The cut of the cloth is thick which adds to the appeal of this with out the undo weight and heat of heavy wool. The feel of the vest is close to cashmere in my opinion.

We are very pleased with this watch. The black perforated cover is very elegant, allowing just a hint of the face and works to show through. The face is highly readable with black on white numerals. An unexpected surprise was the elegantly embossed back also with a window to see the works.

This is a beautiful vest. it is well made & nice in appearance. However I live in Corpus Christi, Tx & this vest is too heavy for here. This is no fault of yours, but one of the difficulties of ordering on line. All brushed cotton gives no hint to the weight
