I looked for weeks at all the web sites and holsters, I kept coming back to Historical Emporium. I was very happy with the holster and it fit great, I measured the holster like they suggested. I have it hanging on the wall, I would order again in a minute.

I was looking for a new hat for the upcoming cowboy action shooting season and some travel matches, and I really liked the way this hat looked online. The price was very good, so I thought I would take a chance and order. This hat is the MOST comfortable cowboy hat I have ever worn. Soft and light on the head, and pops right back into shape if it gets crushed. The fit was perfect. I will definitely buy more of your hats. Once travel shooting season starts in May, I will be stylin'!

I don't usually order on line but fell in love with this riding skirt. I am so glad I did. Would recommend ordering a size smaller then your average size though. They fit a bit larger. Had some great comments on them. I have both the black and brown and will get good wear out of them. Great for dress up or casual.

The fabric and collar are great but it takes some practice to put it on. something I wasn't prepared for.

I have been a customer in the past of this company and purchased holsters for myself and was so impressed I purchased one for my Brother. Unfortunately things have changed since the last time I purchased! The quality and construction of this purchase is considerably less than the holsters I purchased in the past. The Buckle is smaller and not as well made and the leather straps used for the buckling process are not as thick and as well made as my past purchases. there are also less bullet storage loops on the belt: less on the double holster belt, then on the single holster belts I have purchased in the past; that makes no sense other then cost cutting for higher profit. I am very disappointed in this product and it's lack of quality! The belt itself is also not as wide. I guess the integrity of this company has changed from outstanding quality to cost cutting, creating a less quality product. This seems to be a new acceptable way of the world; well not with me, I take pride in my work and it's quality! My work has made me a man who is respected and even made competitors in my work intimidated and jealous! This company should be ashamed of itself; I'll bet the craftsman were not happy with these changes!! I am seriously contemplating returning this double belt and holster. I am thinking of what it would take to modify it myself, but why should I buy a new product only to have to spend more money to make it the way it should have been made in the first place Do you have a free return policy?

Very pleased with the overall look and quality. Roomy fit went down a size then he would usually take.

High quaiity product

I was very excited to get this. I had been wanting to order it for quite some time. When it arrived I was disappointed. The ups: the construction is very sturdy and the material is a very nice quality. The downside: the way it is made the front of the jacket is rather stiff so it tends to look a little unnatural when sitting down. Most importantly though the color is not at all burgundy. It is definitely a brighter red. I thought, at first, they sent me the red jacket but I double checked and it was clearly labeled burgundy. So... if you are looking for a true burgundy smoking jacket you may want to hold off and shop around. Though I will readily admit there are not many options out there.

Very fast shipping and looks great with my suit! It arrived already tied, which made it much easier to use and just needed to be adjusted to my neck size. I'd definitely recommend this if you're going for an old fashioned western look.

I liked the looks of this cane on the website and thought it would be a good accessory for a re-enactment persona I will be performing later this year. I ordered it and when it arrived was blown away by just how much better it looked in person! This cane is the perfect combination of sturdy and stylish. It is a good value for the price. I removed the rubber tip and did a slight finish touch up to then end and voila, it was ready to become part of my persona. BONUS: the balance and weight of the Van Dyke Bamboo cane lends itself to balancing and twirling tricks, so if you're on the lookout for an addition to a showman or theatrical performer outfit, I highly recommend it.

Searching for Edwardian clothing in support of a significant competitive production, Historical Emporium clearly has a corner on the market. The vest choices were almost overwhelming but, by process of elimination, we finally settled on this brown, double breasted version. Love the styling, the double row of buttons, pockets, feel, and square at the waistline. More elegant to see and wear than the description. Excellent choice!

Beautiful blouse with lovely lace accents. Sleeves are too long for my petite frame. Will have to alter. Generous sizing due to style, but true to measurements listed.

The well-made belt sets off any skirt. It is very comfortable. Made for all day wear.

The only thing to mention is that the vest is a bit tight. Every other vest I've gotten here an "M" is very comfortable, looks good, and has just a bit of room. This one though is snug. Not uncomfortable, not a 'problem', just keep it in mind. If I were to have gotten a Large I'd undoubtedly have to have it altered to fit correctly.

I was in no way convinced that I was making the right choice, but I purchased the Derby out of necessity, with very little time left before a themed family reunion event. As luck (or search engine intelligence) would have it, the Historical Emporium was within 15 miles of where I live. The company made every effort to accommodate my need for speed and see that I could pick up the hat at their warehouse location--greatly appreciated. Almost from the moment I donned the Derby the compliments started pouring in from all kinds of people, age 9 to 99. "Awesome hat!" "Great Derby!" "Cool! Where'd you get that?" "Check it out Dad!" I kid you not. I wasn't looking for compliments--they were looking for me... I'm honestly not much for that kind of attention, but I found the hat put me in suitable character to enjoy the transformation. And compared to the baseball caps I typically wear, a transformation is exactly what it felt like. Not only did I (and family) have a fantastic evening all around, the Derby felt like its own member of the party. More than just a closet ornament for the occasional party, this is headwear that promises to be a staple of my new style. Certainly others before me have fallen in love with the quality and style of a bygone era, but I plan for the foreseeable future to launch a campaign to "Bring back the Bowler" and during more than one occasion to lean against a light post as I read a Penny Dreadful--Derby shifted over my brow. Love it! (Can you tell?)

I got lots of comments on my outfit. These pants were more fun than plain black pants. I love the points on the waistband with suspender buttons. The details make this authentic style vintage pant feel great. I am impressed with the quality of Emporiums goods.

I purchased this topcoat because I liked the style. It comfortably fits over a suit coat. Very nice topcoat. A great value.

We returned this vest because it scrunched up at the collar - ill-fitting

I purchased this hat for my dad, and used the measurement chart provided to determine the correct size to order. My dad followed the measuring instructions perfectly, but the hat is HUGE. Not even close to the right size, which was a disappointment. We will be exchanging or returning this for sure.

These pants are really cool looking. They will be worn by my groomsmen in my steam punk wedding. They wear size 28, 34, and 38 pants. 28's weren't available, so I ordered that guy a 30. The 30's fit perfectly. The guy who normally wears 34 had to use the size 38's. The guy who normally wears 38 will need a 40, so I'm in the process of returning the 34 pants so I can get the 40's. Also the pants come unhemmed so my fiance will be hemming all the pants. Good thing she knows how to sew!

A most excellent waistcoat. Long enough and classic enough to wear with modern clothing, and a great addition to a costume. I especially like the fabric, which is fairly light-weight, has a soft touch, yet still feels substantial. I already own both colors of this vest, and plan to get the matching pants. If only a coat were available... I love three-piece suits.

This is my second Winfield vest, but a different color. Both have been great. It's comfortable, and the color works with a lot. I usually wear mine with jeans and a nice shirt. I don't know if everybody could pull that off, due to current pants waists sitting so low, but my torso is somewhat short (without being a "short" clothing size). With the right pants, though, this vest will be a great choice for anyone. I want all of the colors, and more. I wish it came in a light-to-medium gray!

I love this marvelous vest! I bought this to match the Henderson trousers for nights when I want to be extra spiffy. This vest has garnered many compliments in the places I've worn this. It fits perfectly and is a must for any Victorian outfit.
