The leather feels and looks great. I took it to the Range and some of the guys asked me about it. just a nice item to have if you own a revolver.

I had my eye on this coat for some time and cheap as I am I could not resist when it went on sale, (sorry HE!), but the wait was well worth it! I absolutely love "old style" clothing because it has such great character. This coat is no exception. Love the styling and the fit is spot on. I almost ordered an Extra Large because I'm tall and sleeves are an issue at times but the regular Large fit just fine while still roomy enough to layer underneath for those really chilly days. Historical Emporium has the best selection of items of any store I have seen. The prices are alway reasonable and shipping is always expeditious. This is not the first time I have purchased items from HE and I dare say it won't be the last!

I'd say this is a 2.5 star on-the-fence review. As the other reviews said, it has a boxy cut. But more than that, the material and the arm holes really bothered me. The wool feels more like what an overcoat would use rather than a suit. Of course, this material is more robust so it would be more "appropriate for Civil-war era and old west reenactors." But if you're expecting a material like what the 100% Victorian cutaway coat has, save yourself the trouble and don't buy it. (And it's textured. Naturally picks up dust/hair.) If you have a large arm diameter, it's a great coat! I do not... so it's awkward. Any arm movement is hampered and lifts the entire side, making the boxiness look even worse. Taking in the sides would still leave the relative mobility problem. It would just cost too much to fix up the arm holes and sides. All I'm saying is that my kind of medium-to-slender body shape wouldn't work well. But if you're more boxy and needs something durable, it could be a great coat. It's your call or gamble.

Ordered an XL so I could wear a jacket or insulated shirt under it. Generous sleeve length and I have a long wingspan. Heavy denim will protect from the elements to a point. Quality garment at a good price.

The fabric is sturdy--essentially denim. Brushed, so with the soft hand of old denim, but with the stiffness of new denim. The fit is correct to slim--for a more casual fit, maybe order one size up. I'm not wholly happy with the seems on the shoulders--they don't lay quite right, but perhaps as the garment breaks in, the folds will relax into a more flattering lay. Still, overall, a very nice coat.

The shirt is great. Looks and fits wonderfully.

I ordered this helmet to wear when riding motorcycle, when it arrived I was happy to find it was made of thick yet supple leather with a lining that makes it comfortable and breathable. and the adjustment straps allow for a perfect fit. Now I just wish I would have ordered the Mk. 8 goggles to complete the retro look.

this holster is 1 1/2" too short for my 8" .44 new model army. the holster is VERY loose and despite the "steel" layer inside, ostensibly used for crushing the holster flatter, it is nevertheless way too wide. looks real chineese. good costume gag but not functional.

Really nice quality. I will need to take at least 5" off the length (I am 5'3"). I am a plus sized woman and I ordered this in a 4x, could easily have done with a 3x and will definitely get another one in a 2x or 3x size.

I am a plus sized woman, but this blouse really ran large in sleeve length. Collar stands up very high behind neck. Might be okay if you are tall and have a long neck, I am debating about returning or trying to alter as it is beautiful and of a lovely quality.

Solid walking stick and the Raven topper fits my hand like they measured me for it.

I am a plus sized woman, used to everything being too small and was surprised to find sizing that was generous. However, the sleeves seem to be SUPER long, Granted I am a 2x and only 5'3" but I'd need the arms of an orangutan to wear this. Fortunately, I am handy with a needle and some well placed pleats in the sleeves will take care of the problem.

Went with description that Victorian shirts were oversize. It fits but little room to spare. Should have went one size up and did darts if necessary. It will look sharp with my new vest though!

This vest has a slim fit and looks great. I wear it frequently and receive many compliments on its style and appearance.

I was surprised initially by the weight of the 'vest' but the feel give the impression of durability.As in the description of the item I feel that whatever clothing you wear whether it be jeans,or a suit you can consider yourself suitably attired ,my only regret is that I should have ordered the reverse colour version at the same time,still gives me an excuse for another purchase from my favourite online clothing retailer.

As with my review of the same item in black,a nice looking accessory for the tie,will certainly purchase the full range of this particular style in due course

I ordered this vest using the guide for this vest and I feel like I'm swimming in it, its so large; especially in the chest. I have noticed a problem in their sizing of products like the gun belts, too. Its a nice looking vest. i will put it in my closet and keep it for my funeral.
