Fits perfectly and looks amazing

You folks put a lot of emphasis on "occasion'. Try this! In my case, there ain't no special occasion. I'll reiterate that the britches FIT! They come up on your waist like britches should and not under where your trousers are underneath your belly like some form of a ding bat. They have POCKETS that actually can hold stuff and don't fit so tight that when you put something in your pocket it doesn't imprint and be uncomfortable when you sit. They come with enough material in the legs to actually have them hemmed in a full break, half break, whatever, or "high waters" if you wear boots. Style and fashion for skinny jeans and pistol legged pants that come half way to your knees is a "con" contrived by manufacturers that started just before WWII and THEN as well as NOW, to add insult to injury, they upped their darned prices for less material in the names of "style and fashion". They ain't worth a tinker's damn! Brothers' don't bend over to pick up your soap in the showers! They're more than happy to take your money for less. These pants are great for everyday wear and won't present your naked arse when you stoop or bend over. They come with brace attachments and truth of the matter is, suspenders work much, much better than belts anyway. Even with all the “BS” that goes on in Washington, (and has been for decades) making it harder and harder for the middle class, it's worth a "few dollars more", (and I like Clinton Eastwood movies), to have the hems adjusted just the way you like 'em.

No special occasion at all. I don't like seeing plumber's butt nor care to expose my own. Shirttail coming out constantly is a hassle. I don't care to bend over and a cold wind then blows up my spine. Paired with pants that FIT PROPERLY, they beat the "H" out of any belt ever made. Simple fact is… they stretch! I don’t have to stop, unfasten belt, unzip, tuck shirt, and re-adjust trousers to be presentable. Being an old curmudgeon, I suffer from “Noassatall” so putting it like it is… Get the gallusses that work with buttons instead of those less-than-worthless sissyfied, narrow things that hurt your shoulders, clip-on gadgets that don’t work nor stay clipped. Wise up and rise up. Just because you’ve been duped doesn’t mean you have to stay duped.

Believe it or not, this is the way I dress daily. Prices climbed and materials were reduced. Keeping the public dumbed down by calling it style and fashion. Modern men’s pants wear below the belly, and check out the new “high water,” pistol-legged pants recently introduced—NOT for me. I still like comfortable britches! Having said all that… this is about the vest, but remember that I can be long-winded! It fits! It’s rugged! It feels good when temperatures are in the low 60s added to your shirt. It really shines when cooler temperatures prevail and you can wear a jacket or coat over it—especially when going to someone’s place who keeps a cooler inside temperature than you prefer. It looks great anytime. How’re ya gonna act, dude? It’s a no-brainer at a great price!

There is not a specific occasion or event. I just like wearing 19th century clothing in my daily life. I have amassed quite a wardrobe at this point and a good deal of it has come from Historical Emporium.

I'm competitive ballroom dancer and have bought several of your vests and a couple period shirts over the years mainly to match the dress color my partner wears. I didn't realize this vest was canvas. I knew it was cotton but thought it would be softer. and more flexible similar to your other vests. My bad. All the other vests are flexible and get great reviews from the public. I've worn this one already and it fills a void color wise. I have a silky blue vest also from you that gets excellent reviews from the public. I like your offerings.

As a docent (tour guide) at our local museum I enjoy changing my garments as the need arises as we have many different themes and exhibits throughout the year. Having a variety of ties and vests makes for many different outfits. Pros: puff ties made well and wide range of adjustment. Bold colors are striking. Cons: not too crazy about the adjustment slide as no matter what color you choose for the tie, the slide comes in black only. Unfortunately it stands out especially with lighter shades and takes away some of the authenticity I'm attempting to recreate. A bit pricey. Overall I own many and will buy more in the future. Very well made. Sturdy material. Collar is as advertised, tall. Fit comes just underneath the jawline. Cuffs are magnificent as they are a true fold over French cuff in every sense. Cufflink holes line up on the mark. These are not conversion cuffs as there are no buttons, so keep that in mind when ordering. Sleeves are a bit long for me. Bought a size large. I'm a 16-161/2 neck with a 34/35 sleeve. Easy remedy is to buy a pair of sleeve garters. Problem solved. As with all the shirts I've purchased here, very satisfied. Will wrinkle when laundered so be ready for some starch and ironing.
