This coat was very nicely priced. My nervousness was that it was not sized correctly. It was a little broad in the shoulders, but once I tried it on with a suit jacket, this was not such a problem. It arrived in exactly the amount of time I expected, and it looks great. I highly recommend this coat.

Nice shirt. The body is very full and sleeves run long. Comfortable to wear, but be aware they are not tailored.

Great compliment to the matching vest and frock coat. Pants are a snug fit on your waist, so if you want them loose, go up a size. Braces will hold them. Legs are straight but not skinny jeans type.

I love this coat. The design is pretty and it fits great. The only problem is within the month of me having bought this item, all but two buttons have fallen off. I had to resew all of them on and the pocket had a hole in it big enough for money to fall through when I opened the package. It annoyed me that I payed $180 Canadian, including border fees, for a coat that I had patch up the instant it got to me. Otherwise, I've got tons of compliments and people asking me where I got my coat. Will buy again from this site hoping for better button sewing next time.

I buy coats all the time from Historical Emporium. If anyone can see this before buying I urge you to read this; I do NOT RECOMMEND BUYING IT IF YOU ARE BUYING IT as a useful coat, but if it's for a one day thing (like for a costume) yes. If you're using it for a festival of some sort or a gathering, DON'T YOU'LL BE EMBARRASSED, YOUR FEELINGS WILL BE HURT AND YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED *The Design is well--But there is no padding, unlike the other frocks that feel strong, this is a very thin frock. It is so thin if you held it up to the sun you would see right through it. It says it's 100 percent wool, maybe the outer part is but, the whole thing is bad! I hope they can put padding in next time; I unfortunately have to re-design it to fit the criteria of a coat. I am indeed disappointed, but I have no doubt it was manufactured at a place in Guatemala where it's 1 cent per stitch. I don't know. I am very disappointed to have purchased it for the priced that it came but of course, I have no choice, this is only a costume that I need before February 21st. This coat should be priced at $69.85 if it remains to be the type of wear that it is now.

I like these. The green is a nice shade, and the pattern is a nice touch. However, when they arrived in the mail, I found they were longer in circumference than expected. Fortunately, I got creative with some safety pins, and now they fit quite well.

What can I say? They're comfortable, stylish, and I get lots of compliments on them. Plus the brown is a nice shade; it matches a safari jacket I got here that the store no longer carries. If you need good spats that are noticeable (but not overly so), these are them.

Overall I have few complaints about this vest. It is well made for the price and a unique design. The colors are a little darker than they appear in the picture leading to an overall more understated look than one would guess based on the pictures. The lining makes it warmer than would be preferable when combined with most jackets and the high collar makes it difficult to pair with regular shirts. Regular collared shirts look a tad ridiculous with it and crew or Henley cut shirts are almost completely hidden underneath it. Most of these are things that a more careful reading of the description before hand would have foreseen, so buyer beware. Overall an excellent addition to any wardrobe, but I highly recommend picking up one of their shirts that go with it. Also, the matching pants would be a good idea to.

I love the vest! Paired up with a classically cut black suit and my favorite black boots, it is certainly eye-catching.

I absolutely LOVE these trousers! The pockets have room for a good number of items and the pants are very comfy, yet extremely stylish. I got quite a few compliments when I first wore them. I just ordered the matching vest for times when I want to be smashing at formal and not so formal events. The sizes I think may run a little big, but that's fine by me. I can't wait to show these off at the Philadelphia monster ball as well as the Dancing Ferret 20th anniversary concert. The latter encouraging formal wear. I will be the talk of the town in these trousers as well as the matching vest.

These trousers are sturdy and look the part. They are also quite comfortable. The only downside is the buckle in the back, which is flimsy and fell apart after five minutes. As for sizing, I would recommend measuring your waist instead of automatically ordering one size up from usual (I should have just ordered my usual size).

Pretty good fit, nice material. I can tell this vest is well-made, and it is suitable for pretty much anything. I appreciate that the pockets are actually a functional size so I can put things like my cell phone and pocketwatch in them and get to them without much difficulty.

The only thing I didn't like about this was the leather thing, which was too stiff and slippery, so the knot can untie if any force is put on it. The watch itself is super. It keeps good time, so far, and fits nicely in the pocket of the vest I also got. As has been mentioned, it is actual glass and metal, so don't drop it too high off the ground (or at all would also be good).

I like to wear a red vest with my tux. My old one was kind of worn out, so I ordered this new one and found it to be even more elegant than the illustration. It was beautifully and carefully packaged and I can't wait for the chance to wear it! I may just wear it to work with everyday clothes, if I find it too painful to wait!! Also . . . I'm just itching to order something else now!

These, along with the Black Canvas Trousers , were only my second purchase from the Historical Emporium and I am very pleased with the product. I admit that I enjoy them more than the trousers actually. They immediately give the impression of a product that will last forever. Mostly leather, with the lower back portion being thick elastic, they give the wearer a sense of antiquated clothing so strong that they feel so fine walking around in them. Everyone who has seen them on me was stunned by the craftsmanship. I know I was. The brass buckles are what got me the most. The only problem I encountered was expected. They ended up being to large for me, so I had to poke more holes intothem to get a perfect fit, nothing major. Though they arent so snappy in ability, they makeup for it many times over in snappy appearance. I am looking forward to my next purchase.

These were only my second purchase from Historical Emporium, along with the Brown Leather Suspenders, and I was immediately impressedwith the trousers. They breathe authenticity with the riveted buttons and high waste. The length was perfect for me and the waiste was just right. They go great with the Black Canvas Work Vest that I had bought around Christmas. The pockets are deep, and they keepmy hands warm in the recent cold mornings. The only issue that I can bring up with these trousers is that every bit of lint and fuzz shows. Nothing a good lint roller cant take care of. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the product that is sure to last forever, and I am already looking forward to my next purchase.

When I received my shoes, I greatly anticipated them to be in perfect condition, which they were! The expected day of the arrival of my parcel was punctual and every thing was in complete order! These delicate and stunning black shoes went with every outfit, creating a classy and elegant look to most of my formal and even casual dresses, (absolutely perfect for the Little Black Dress occasion!) They add an air of jazz and ritz, (especially loved the accessory buttons!) making it extraordinarily unique! They are also quite comfortable and easy to walk in, only that I am a size 5, and size 6 was the only size available at the time but it worked out with some extra padding at the heel to fill in the space. as soon as I got my holster Iput my Blackhawk hand gun in it and it fit prefect, it only took about 10 days to get.

I like the cut of this shirt very much. I wish the manufacturer would branch out and produce variations in subtler patterns and buttons. I don't mind being an eccentric around the house to take advantage of the comfort. But when I'm out and about in the city, I would just as soon have something a little less costumey. Workmanship, value for price -- all good.

This is a costume hat at best. The features are exaggerated and the brim is too wide. According to the company that manufactures this hat, New York Hatco, it is called a "Mad Hatter," not a top hat. I will be buying a custom silk plush top hat instead.

The material, black damask, is striking and good quality. Construction is good quality, look is dashing, and priced low. VERY happy with this tie!

The wig is fine and matches my color hair very well, which I am surprised by. I had to trim some of the length as it was very long, Good quality and looks natural.

It's a nice hat, and the fleece lining is great. My only wish is that the buckle was different (it is rather inconvenient) and that the strap was angled forward a little (it has a tendency to sit far back on my chip and rub my neck uncomfortably. But maybe that's my fault more than the hat's)/.

This is a great item and so incredibly easy to tie. Gentleman's Emporium provides a step by step tutorial on how to tie. What can be said about this? It a beacon for compliments. I bought it for Templecon. Very happy with it.

This is a fabulous coat. It is surprisingly light but keeps you very warm. It will do fine for cosplay conventions or for wearings in your real life. The colors are beautiful. I'm not sure if the inside pockets are actual pockets or just designed to look like they're supposed to be pockets, the stitching is quite sturdy and I didn't want to damage the coat by trying to find out. Oh well, I guess that's why we wear vests with multiple pockets. Too bad this coat is being fazed out, it's a great item. Delivery was a bit of a pain, but that wasn't Gentleman's Emporium's doing but Mother Nature hitting the East Coast with blizzards and the fact UPS only schedules one delivery per day so make sure they have your complete address or they will delay delivery.

It was a pleasure to receive this Topcoat. As advertised, the coat is very well made and a great fit over my suit coats. I would recommend this to anyone that wants a classic / classy look that has a nostalgic look.

This is a great ascot, with a very nice texture to it. The pictures make it look a bit sheer, but it is very solid.
