As it says: these shoes are comfortable (bought an M for a foot that typically wears a US 9.5 European 43; felt a bit big but still worked great!) and look amazing. Material is good quality, and they have been successfully worn for multiple full days of walking around in costume. Gaiters are a bit fiddly to apply (required a helper), but that's just how gaiters go. Great value; would recommend.

These are very accurate reproduction trousers from the 20's and 30's. Real fabric! They do, however, need to be hemmed up as any fine pair of pants would be. So you will need a seamstress. I love how authentic the costumes are from Historical Emporium

The quality of this far exceeded what I was expecting for the price. The fit was slightly off but the return was accepted without issue and a better fitting size was sent, even though it was my lack of measuring skills causing the mix up. Great jacket I wear often while leading guided History Tours and it lends an incredible look to what I am doing, leading to many compliments. Excellent customer service as well.

Gorgeous vest with a rich color and the back in a flat black rather than shiny satin fabric so it complements but does not compete with the Burgundy front. Soft to the touch. Very classy. Fits well with both vintage styling and modern use. Totally happy with it!

My husband was pleased with the look of the vest when it arrived, but it did not fit his pear-shaped body. However, we were pleased with the speed of the original mailing and the efficiency with which the return was handled.

Depending on the color you choose, this vest can grab attention or remain discreet. I bought the plum version to do the former and this brown version to do the latter. But whichever you choose, be prepared for others to comment on it. Although the velvet material has a diagonal quilted pattern, the material is not unusually thick. The velvet glistens very slightly, and the pattern seems to have been created not by stitching, but by a heat-pressure process that has melted the nap; or maybe it's a glue overlay. The overall effect is rich and subtle; rather like a smoking vest (if there were such a thing). The pattern is small and well matched in seams and across the button front. It seems well made .
