These trousers are excellent and of a superior quality unlike anything I have found for this style. The material is brilliantly comfortable and a delight to wear. I thoroughly recommend these trousers for anyone who is an enthusiast of this style of clothing.

I chose this style because it represents a slightly different take on the usual choices. Most braces are either all elastic or have no stretch at all. Since sitting and bending over puts a bit of a pull on the back of the pants, the elastic back gives when needed while the rest of the suspenders maintain their shape. I own both the stretch type and the no-give type. This model is a good compromise.

They may call it a work shirt, but it looks good enough for leisure wear as well. The fabric seems to be sturdy and durable enough to qualify as a work shirt. It will receive a bit of rough wear over the next few months, and I anticipate it will retain its good looks.

If you work out doors, or just casually gallivanting around town the Classic Canvas Trousers are made just for you. These trousers can be Machine wash in cold water,..... and we highly recommend line dried as they will wrinkle if machine dried. I made that mistake and had to spend an extra hour hot ironing them out. Another observation to note is the canvas material tends to be a magnet for lint, and fur thus making them very hard to keep clean. Also to note is the Classic Canvas Trousers are heavy canvas material, thus they hold heat well, so on a hot summer day they may be uncomfortable. as for winter and cooler days these trousers will keep you nice and warm they are Sturdy & Long Lasting for Every Day casual Wear. This is the only reason we gave these five star trousers a four star rating, it dose not reflect the quality of the craft of the trousers, but the problematic of keeping them clean, and this is do to our own fault of operator error, and again dose not reflect the over all practical usefulness of the trousers as every day casual wear. As with every attire that we have purchased from Historical Emporium, the Classic Canvas Trousers is well crafted, sturdy, wears well, and will give you many years of every day wear in practical use. Back in the 1800s, even the working class had a sense for presentable style. These Black Canvas Y-Back Braces with Elastic Tail are perfect for every day wear. they are Comfortable, Affordable, & Practical in use and the elastic tail greatly helps when siting and standing. They are canvas and if you are going to take your vest off and its not a casual event occasion we recommend Premium Silk Suspenders - Black Paisley Item: 004840. they are a bit more fancy and formal. Again I use these Canvas braces when I'm just casually out and about in town and wearing a vest so they are never seen anyways in public, and again they are affordable if used in such a way.

We absolutely love this black with silver paisley ascot. It is beautiful and well crafted and it really sets of making any shirt look very smart and a finished look. From my entire order, this was my absolute favorite item. I ordered 4 hats, and they were all lovely, but this one looked best on me and was most dramatic. Very nice quality, too.

Very happy with this skirt. I thought it would be too large, but it was perfect. There is extra length on the back for a bustle I suppose, but I had it shortened since I don't intend to use one and didn't want it dragging on the ground. Very good quality and lovely color, too.

This is a lovely coat and the quality was really excellent. However, I have wide shoulders, so the additional shoulder padding didn't look good on me, so I had to return it.

This is a fabulous, well-made blouse that I imagine is fairly close in design to an original work blouse, though possibly those would have been linen. I am very happy with the fit, that was according to the chart very accurate, too.

How awkward if the trousers were to move in a southerly direction in a social situation. These Y-Back Braces give the required support to prevent those social gaffs

I bought this coat for the comiccon for my son. I took the measurements that it suggested and determined a medium would fit. It was huge!!! This coat runs big! Had to purchase a size smaller and wait for the refund on the first one because the turn around time is 2-3 weeks. I like the coat. It's good quality and perfect for what we need it for, but it would have been a more pleasant buying experience if it fit the first time.

Nice looking watch, but it is made in China and broke the first time I used it. The hour hand no longer moves because it was improperly secured to the center shaft and the back does not stay secured and continuously falls off. I bought the women's velvet tailcoat for my sister, so she can be part of my upcoming steampunk wedding. It is beautiful, and she fell in love with it as soon as she put it on. It does run SMALL, so follow the sizing guide closely. My sister is not a large woman, but I followed the measurements and bought her an XL and it fit perfectly. When she put that on with her top hat it really looked awesome. I gave it 5 stars because the velvet is not all that soft or thick, but it seems to be well made and should perform as expected. Also this is a really good price for a tailcoat of this design.

This is the second waist coat I have purchased from Historical Emporium and I am thrilled with it. You bet! This was the first tie of this sort I have purchased and I was a little wary at first. But I had been super thrilled with all my other purchases from Historical Emporium so I took a chance with it and was pleasantly surprised. It's a simple little tie, but it's a great way to get jazzed up for any special occasion. It seemed to be well made and the hook and eye on the back secure it well when wearing it. I would definitely recommend this puff tie to anyone looking to recreate a victorian era look and I've already compiled a list of other ties I am looking in to.
