This is truly a well made garment, it is well above expectations. The fabric is heavy so be prepared to use as a coat not just a costume jacket. The buttons and studs are nice but could be lighter to provide more contrast. I took the reviews about sizing to heart and ordered 2 sizes larger than I should have needed and I am sorry now. It is just a bit too large, so if you are thinking to order, perhaps just a size larger would do.

I love the way the back is made. The only thing wrong is the sizing isn't true to a XXL. I really wear an XL but buy XXL just in case it doesn't fit loosely. Well, this beautiful skirt isn't loose at all. I should have tried it on when I got it but didn't. I will be wearing it tomorrow or I would return for the next size up

The slouch hat is very good in all respects. The only thing I would caution other buyers about is be careful on sizing. I have other felt hats all of which are size large and fit perfectly, this one however the size large is a very lose fit almost to the point of sliding over my ears. Just be careful when measuring for the perfect fit. Everything else about the hat is perfect, please do not confuse my size issue with a lack of quality, it is a great hat!

The black holster was a perfect fit for my Colt 45 long barrel. It is made of a quality leather and just beautiful. I've already received several comments on the quality and look. Absolutely LOVE it!!!

I'm not one to review any products that I buy, but after receiving my order from Historical Emporium, I had commend these guys on their great pants. The pants are pretty much the same material as carharts so its very durable. The pants also sit higher on the waist than modern pants and they're actually really comfortable. Take em' to work or wear them to church, these pants will receive numerous comments. So far, the pants have stood up pretty well to daily carpentry work, they wash well and the color hasn't faded yet, so all in all, great job Historical Emporium.

excellent quality suspenders

This smoking fez is just what I wanted. While it is whimsical and an 'extravagance' it brings me great joy as I wear it nightly at cocktail hour. The quality is high and the fit is perfect. If you feel the itch for something fun and good looking, scratch that itch with this fez!

I was very pleased with my order. The dress fit me perfectly and I loved how I looked in it.

I love the attention to detail and the fine stitching on this garment. The lacing on either side of the buttons on the front give the bodice just the right shape. The lacing on the back "bustle" gives the shirt the right amount of Victorian flair, but not so much that I wouldn't be able to wear this to work. HOWEVER, the designer obviously doesn't know a thing about how womens' arms! The sleeves on this garment are so narrow my arms felt like sausages when I tried this on! It's such a shame that an otherwise amazing blouse could be ruined by a seemingly minor design flaw. There was not even room for bending elbows. I will absolutely have to send this one back.

Honestly I own more waistcoats from Historical Emporium then I own shirts to wear with them. This waistcoat is beautiful and I received many complements for it. Minor complaint is the pockets are sewn shut but that can be easily remedied.

I was looking for a dashing pair of boots and the idea of having convertible boots struck my fancy. Sadly, despite ordering the smallest size (small for size 8-9) they were still too big. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 so I don't understand why they were too big. Also, wearing the low boot is fine but it's very plain looking. 3/5 for cool concept but could be a bit fancier and be nice in a smaller size.

The quality of the holster and belt seem to be good and the price was a lot better than a lot of others I've seen, but it only has 11 shell loops! Now anybody that knows anything about a Western 6 gun would have put at least 12 loops on the belt,18-24 would have been better and there is enough room on the belt for 24 so I just can't understand why you would only put 11.

This is a fine quality hat, but due to the lighting when photographed for this website, it appears to be almost a pigeon grey, but when you receive it, it's more of a darker slate grey. Beware of this when ordering so you won't be disappointed. I intend to get plenty of use out of it, but not as I originally intended, as an Indian Wars Cavalry Slouch Hat.

Quality material, sharp styling, well built, good fit. I use it as my road shirt when out touring on my motorcycle. Stand up collar is great for full coverage and opens up for ventilation when needed. Adds a bit of class to my journey.
