Shirt is nice. But I wish it had been made in the USA rather than China. Price difference to have a USA manufactured product would be ok.

I bought this for my fiance and partner in costuming, and not only was the sizing really easy and the fit very good, but it looks wonderful. The detailing is if anything a little crisper than it is in the photo here. Definitely a great buy and a great price - we wanted a balance between looking elegant but not extravagant, and this suited perfectly.

Seems heavy,have not tried riding in but wanted for wagon train trip in June. Worried it may be too warm. I will be on horse back but need to stay in period attire. Feel options are limited.

Purchased an Ascot for a Murder Mystery Dinner. The ascot is high quality and is exactly as it is described in color. Very pleased with this purchase and the speed it was delivered.

They are wonderful trousers, despite having to have them hemmed. Did have a problem getting used to full button down style. They fit just right, and are historically accurate. Will buy further sets in the future.

The vest is very nice, and well made. However, the sizing is not quite right. I measured my waist and belly, and based on that I got a Large. Turns out I should have gotten an XL. I think you need to revise your measuring chart, as this inaccuracy cost me a button which popped the first time wearing it.

I really loved your black gun belt, but I found the dye rubbing off to that extent unacceptable. I got a friend of mine that's used to leather to give it a real coat of polish and a rub and brush down. He has put a couple of coats on it and he says it shines now and no black rubs off. All in all, for the price I still think it's a good deal. It goes with my western collection and it'll be fantastic to wear with my faux white pearl handle SAA Replica Six Shooter come Halloween. I'm feeling like a kid again wearing this while I was watching all my cowboy shows in the 50's and 60's. One other thing, especially for the quick draw 4.75 guns could you not make the holster smaller. I know I can use both that size or the 5.5 SAA guns, with the one I bought, but the smaller .44/.45 Cal. shorter holster would be more authentic and look the part better. Hmm it's just a thought. I just bought another .44/45Cal Double Western Gun Belt and Holsters and have replica exact scale .45 Cal Silver Bullets to fit the belt for a Lone Ranger look. I'm anxious to receive it. I did put a note with this new order, asking you to try to do something with the excess dye problem. Just wiping it off and leaving it in a warm dry place doesn't work. We'll see what happens. Very pleased with the quality and appearance of my new .45 cal gun belt and holster. The only thing is that I measured my hip size as directed and Ordered accordingly but found the belt a little to large. My hip size is 44 And I ordered a size 44 belt. The belt size has 44 stamped On it but to my surprise it was too loose. I am able to make It work on the last hole but would order a 42 if I had To do it over again.

My disapointment is totally due to the mis-statement that the jacket & vest had multiple outside pockets. In truth, they are faux pockets. The image of the vest goes so far as to show the model with a pocket watch. This seems to be a touch disingenuous as it is quite impossible. Editor's note: Thank you for the feedback. The coat has 2 pockets that are sewn shut for transport, but will hold a pocket watch when opened. The other pockets are decorative. We have updated the description to make this more clear.

My son is 6'2" and wears a pretty long suspender, but we had to drill new holes in these and are contemplating cutting a bit of the strap off. These are *plenty* long and I have little doubt they would fit a very large man with a very large belly. Small or skinny guys may have to do some adjusting.

I got a3x and I am curvy and 200lbs. and it fit well.

I would have given 5 stars if coat was heavier don't think it will be warm enough for very cold weather. Other than that it is great.

What a great find. I need this for a period costume for an upcoming local event and it is perfect! Nice fabric and the "one size fits all" concept works for this skirt. I am short, so the ankle length of this item makes for the right full length for me and I did not have to hem it, as I would have for any true full length item. In addition to the period costume need, I think I will wear this again and again. I may even order it in another color! This is a very pretty blouse, well made and true to your size estimates for bust and waist. Unfortunately, it runs very long. I am 5'3", and the bust, neckline, and ruffle at the bottom were all way too low for a good fit. The sleeves are also extra long, as you can see in the picture. The fabric is nice, but somewhat shear. I was planning to wear it with a dark blue skirt, and from the waistband down, you could see the blue fabric through the blouse fabric. This blouse would be stunning on a tall person, but just did not fit me, and I had to return it. Shipment was very prompt!

I was looking for a string tie for my upcoming wedding, most places I checked only had clip-ons that were cheap quality. These ties are good quality and have a loop that goes around your neck that's adjustable. I'm am pleased with the tie. Recommend to anyone looking for a string tie for dress or costume.

This vest is very nice. Soft, comfortable, and well-made. The adjusting strap in back holds (doesn't slip as many vests do) I love it!

I really like the non-traditional side buttons. Otherwise, this is just a great shirt. Everything about it, from the feel (soft cotton, breathable) to the look. The sleeves are long enough! Sweet deal.

This shirt is great. The pleated panel dresses it up but it has such a comfortable fit and feel, I can see using it for everyday wear.

Hard to find item. Elastic waist plus an option to tighten with sturdy tie string. Will look great under a swing dress for upcoming theme party. Before I knew it, the item arrived. I ALWAYS wash each garment before wearing. Held up fine with mild detergent with hand washing. and line dry. Very full petticoat that stays soft.

Exceptional value for the price.

This vest looks very authentic, is well constructed of sturdy canvas and was true to size. I received many compliments on it at our homesteaders day at the local history museum. The pockets are rather small, four of them, but that is how they would have been. No shrinkage after washing in cold water anddrying on low heat.

This shirt was true to size and appears to be well made. It is a very light weight cotton and my experience with shirts made in India is that they tend to shrink quite a bit due to the looser weave generally used there. However, I washed it in cold water and dried on low heat and experienced very little if any shrinkage but would advise care in washing. I received many compliments on wearing it at our local homesteaders museum opening day. Probably worth five stars but haven't had it long enough to do that yet.

This is not a usable pool cue nor is it a cane to support any weight. If you only need a prop for a play or halloween party, it might be good enough. I returned mine after one day. Fortunately there was also a defect so they refunded the shipping ($31 since it was expedited) which they did not do initially.

I splurged and bought these boots - and certainly don't regret it. These are really attractive, good quality and comfortable and look amazing with my jeans as well as my skirts. FYI - I usually wear a size 8.5 shoe and bought the size 9 which fit me nicely. Service is very fast and friendly. I'm a repeat buyer who will definitely come back to the Historical Emporium for costuming and footwear.

This is the second pair of boots that I've bought from the Historical Emporium. I bought my first pair of "Granny boots" two and a half years ago and wore them and loved them to death. When I went to replace them, there was no question where to go to get them. My second pair is slightly different from the first but just as comfortable as the first. FYI - I usually wear a size 8.5 shoe and the 9's fit me perfectly. Thanks again, see you in about 2 1/2 years!

A nice-looking coat. It's a little thinner than I would have liked, but having said that, it will mean that I can wear it in warmer weather too. I didn't realise that it has no pocket on the outside, which is a bit of an issue for me, but I'll be able to work around that. It's beautifully styled and the velvet collar really sets it off, as does the styling around the rear vent. Recommended.

Extremely well made trousers. Beautifully soft fabric and very comfortable. Most people will need them shortened as they come way long, but that's a bonus if you're really tall; you'll actually have pants that fit! :-) A really worthwhile purchase.

These braces are very well made, elasticised and made in leather at the points where it really counts. Not too tight as to restrict movement. A great addition to the Livingston trousers.

This is a nice-looking tie tack. Not too glitzy, but fancy enough to set off the black puff tie. A tie tack is also a must if you want to wear a puff tie, as they won't stay in place too long without one.

These gloves are light weight and very well made!

This lab coat is of great construction. The cotton is a nice, thick, brushed cotton. It felt great. The XL size is massive, and the sleeves and overall length match. It's easy to alter, though as the material is easy to work with. The only thing really missing from this lab coat are side slits so you can reach into your pockets without lifting the whole coat up. I will be having my tailor add these for me.

This shirt is of excellent construction. The Peruvian Cotton is nice and soft, but is thick, not cheap and thin.

The pants were of very nice construction, however, the waist is very high. This was a problem for me as I don't have a real difference between my hips and my waist. Make sure when you measure for this item, you measure your WAIST size, and measure high...
