Cheaply made and flimsy with feathers on frint instead of side.

The fez was a gift. The gentleman recipient was thrilled with it including color and fit. Perfect!

This is the THIRD version of this very same vest that I've owned (to accommodate my spreading waistline). The color and styling are "sharp as a tack", and the workmanship of top quality. WAH vests tend to run a little smaller than some other companies, so one might consider ordering a size larger and than one might usually order.

This is the best vest i ever had, very smooth.

The metal catch once you push the umbrella up to open is thinly made and bends easily. It has bent on the black lace parasol purchased from this company. I am wary the same thing will happen on the ivory lace parasol.

I bought the top hat to complete my undertakers outfit for my western reenactment group. It fits the bill perfectly. Keep in mind that this is a tall hat!

I got the vest for my husband for our wedding, And it turned out great! My only complaint is that the arm holes were a bit big so I still had to get it taken in a little, but otherwise it was wonderful and fit great every where else

What fun to find quality trousers that do not look like all the others.

I measured my size according to the instructions provided on the website, but, these particular trousers are way too small. They have been exchanged, and Eve provided first-class service. My original order was for 30 waist. Eve sent me 32 waist after measuring them. They are still snug, but, the next size up would likely be too loose. I'll keep them and have them let out a little bit. Otherwise, I love the look and feel. I love the 36 inch inseams on Gentlemens Emporium's line of trousers. In boots, I wear 36 inch inseam. They are hard to find.

I love the look and feel of this vest. It will go well with several other items I've purchase from Gentlemen's Emporium. I mentioned in another review that my "brand" includes Victorian Era clothing *Irish and Western). This vest is perfect. I'll be adding more to my wardrobe soon.

We thought that we were going to get the hat in the picture but instead we got one that says Godfather on it with red feathers and it fit WAY to large. When I called the CS Rep about the issue he told me that the name was different because the manufacturer calls it something else. But it still doesn't look like the hat we wanted. Even though we could have made it work with a smaller size and taking the feathers out... I feel like if we are going to spend this kind of money on a hat we should get exactly what was in the picture and not have to make changes once we receive it. When I called customer service wanting to get a return shipping label they informed me that I need to cover the shipping. I am not very happy with the service of the hat. The other items we ordered look nice though.

I am an active member of our historical society. This dress is the perfect period costume for many of our events and demonstrations. Perfect fit and good price too.

Got these for my husband to wear in the National Day of the Cowboy show in Sedona, AZ. The first pair were way too tight and cut really small. He has been a 32 X 36 for the 37 yrs we are married. I re-ordered from the 1st pair of 33 to a 36 waist and those fit him. Also the length is cut to a 38. He has no body fat or gut, wash board stomach and yet the cut on the 33 ran way too tight. Yes they ride higher than most pants so I suggest order up sizes. He is 6 ft 2 inches tall. Loved the summer light fabric and bright colors.

These were a surprise gift for my husband and the size fit him perfect. 33 waist and they were cut long 36 inseam. He wears time period outfits for the shows he performs in Sedona, AZ.

I live on a Farm in Mid Michigan where the weather varies greatly during the course of the day. Having an extra layer of stout clothing provides me with the options needed when exposed to sun, wind, snow, and rain. I have two recommendations: 1. If this canvas vest came in a variety of colors (Tan, Dark Green, Navy Blue) I would purchase more of these to accommodate cleaning and maintenance. 2. a couple inside pockets to facilitate a Pipe and tobacco would be greatly appreciated.

Unlike most of the Historical Emporium's clients I buy these shirts for motorcycling. I've found that pull over button up shirts like this help keep bee's out of my shirt and I am very allergic. Henely's as they are sometimes called are basic and there are very few out there in commercial land that are anyway near as colorful as your selection. This Pipestone shirt is my first and I got an XL. The collar is big and I am waiting for the first wash to see how it shrinks so I'll know what to get in the future. It is functional and, dare I say, fashionable. I wonder if I may start a new trend, probably not but hey I'm happy. This is a sturdy shirt for being so fashionable.

The length of the garment was to long. No button on the lower cargo pockets.

This vest is very well made. It is a good fit overall. However, I wish I had ordered a medium instead of a large. My belly isn't as big as I thought. That is a good thing, but I do have to say shut the back fairly tightly. I have a 40 to 42 chest and wear a 42 coat. My waist is 36.

This pocket watch is a great piece of jewelry, I can't wait to dress up & go out with it.

Having a video-shoot of our Cowboy Action Shooters for a regional Television Show coming up, I thought I'd like to look even more authentic. I searched, seemingly everywhere for a Western style vest, both locally and online...to no avail. I finally found this "Historical Emporium" website. They showed this vest and it looked perfect...at least in the picture. When it arrived (right on time), it actually did turn out to be perfect! The fit was exactly right and the quality and color couldn't have been better. It worked right in with the rest of my attire to a tee! The video-shoot went great and all of our cowboys looked the part. I could not have been more pleased with this vest!

Great look at a great price. Buy a size bigger than you need, it runs small and I ordered the 3x tall, it was a good thing I did. I'm only 6' tall and this came JUST to the top of my Vigilante pants. The buttons are very flimsy, I'll have to have them tailored on properly, but other than that, this vest is the bomb!

You can't see it in the pictures, but it has stripes and it's a very light material and doesn't shrink easily. I ordered the 3x tall and it's freakin' HUGE! I thought it would run a bit small like the vests and pants. I was dead wrong. Buy the size you normally wear. It's a great shirt for hot summer events as it breathes easily. Great buy!

The spectacles that I purchased are TOPS. When I was in the military, one of my many jobs was as a Counselor. One day a child that was visiting the ship forgot his Red Tinted play glasses behind. I tried them on one day as a joke and found that my attitude became much more up beat. I tried using them in several situations where an up lift in demeanor was needed, and in every case they worked. So when I bought these I was not really sold on the fact they were "Sun Glasses", however to my surprise and delight, they are both the best Sun Glasses I've ever bought, and the red tint does well to help me stay up beat. Thanks all for the a most pleasant surprise!!

These belts are nice but the marked sizes are not anywhere near accurate. First (38) one couldn't even be attached to the first hole. Returned it and the second one (42), even on the tightest setting fell off. The third one (40) required being on the tightest hole, even then it was a little loose. I had to punch an additional hole. I would not recommend buying these belts, even though they are well made, because you are taking a chance on fit, and you will pay lots of shipping charges back and forth.

Excellent Howie coat for cosplay or theater. Made of a light cotton twill, it is comfortable and very well made. Note it does have to be ironed after washing. Fit is generous, my 5'10" skinny teenager wore a small and yes, the arms were long enough. Got stopped about 100 times in one day at Phoenix Comicon for photo ops and people commenting on his costume.

The skirt is very true to size. I'm in between a Medium and Large, and I asked about which would fit best. Customer service was very prompt and suggested I go a size up and it worked perfectly! The skirt fits me very well, looks just like the picture. I can't wait to wear it with a costume I'm constructing: the color scheme goes well together. The item arrived four days after I ordered it! I would definitely recommend this skirt.

I love this vest, but there were a few minor issues with it that prevent it from getting a 5-star. Let's break it down: Pros: Nice, good-quality material. Fits *mostly* as expected (see below). Cons: Buttons had to be reinforced before really wearing it. Upper chest area is much more narrow than what the picture implies, probably due to larger size ordered. Story: I tried the vest on, fit great, so I washed it according to the tag instructions. Upon putting it on again, two of the buttons popped off. It arguably had fit a lit better pre-wash, but it wasn't that snug after either. The buttons are supposed to fit a little loose with some slack, but these were much too loose and didn't have enough thread to withstand almost any amount of strain. As for the negative on item #2: I'm a big guy with a barrel chest. I ordered a size up from my shirt size to make sure it fit. It feels like the area from the bottom of the chest on up is roughly the same dimensions as it would be on a vest two sizes smaller. It doesn't fit tight necessarily, but it doesn't square at the shoulders like the image. Instead, it cuts in quite a bit more like a normal vest, so that if you're wearing suspenders in a normal fashion over your collar bone, they're going to show. This is probably a non-issue for smaller guys, but it was a little bit of a disappointment in the fit.

I have taken my charcoal Callahan frock coat to a tailor who says that the "balance points" are all off and the sleeves sewn on incorrectly. Perhaps it would be a good idea to have your coats (and other items that should fit according to formal standards) manufactured in a country, and by people, that are familiar with weraing these type of items...?

Material and workmanship seemed OK, but the shirt was too short to stay tucked in around my gut and shrank upon washing. I wore it once so far, and I might be able to wear it again, but I don't expect a third wearing.
